Default VKF Rapid Slash does not modify character sheet doublestrike

There's no buff either. Should there be one? Please do something so it isn't a mystery to players if an enhancement is working or not.

ETA: The doublestrike is inconsistently added to the character sheet when engaged with a mob. If you activate Rapid Slash without a mob, the character sheet doesn't get updated. Does this attack require you to hit a mob in order to gain the buff? The hover text doesn't state that, but it would explain the bugginess around it showing up on the character sheet.

ETA2: Rapid Throw behaves the same.

I am afraid the reason why it appears buggy is precisely because of what you are hypothesising near the end of you post.

Rapid Slash has always, since its creation, required that you land you attack before you gain the bonus. As is Blessed Blades at Tier 5.

It's a basic +20%, so should be easy to factor in anyway, just +20 on top of what you get in your character sheet currently without actually triggering it.

If your statement reflect's developer intent, then I humbly ask the devs to update the tooltips and enhancement descriptions to state the strike must be successful in order to gain the bonus (something like the bolded "On Hit: Your throwing knife gains 100 doubleshot for 15 seconds". DDO is already a super complicated game. I should be able to rely on the tooltips and enhancement descriptions in order to observe if something is WAI or deficient. There's already way too much guessing with the game because of "under the hood" details not made transparent to players.

I personally thought about them too way back when they were first released. But on looking at them more closely, it makes sense that this is intended.

    1. Both clickies produce an effect and damage.
    2. Both clickies have an effect that lasts X amount of time.
    3. Both clickies cooldown for each is X amount of time.
    4. So why are they not just a passive static increase and a clicky instead?

So I'm fairly certain this is intentional. It appears the design wants you to be able to land the hit before you get the benefit. And if you don't, the cooldown is short enough so you can try again soon. Otherwise, they could have just made them as a passive static effect without the need for activating.

But I agree, that the wording on how it should function should be made more clear that it needs to land to activate, not just click to activate a boost.
