    Default Price for Alchemist?

Since you are giving ranged players the shaft so you can favor your new hotness I have a question.

What is Alchemist going to cost? Everyone is going to need to buy it and the price point has not been talked about.

It will likely cost what all new classes cost.

First, if you VIP you can use it for free.
then it will likely cost 1000tp or just under it.

latter the price drops to the regular class price,
don't remember what it is. Been a while since I had to buy something.

I am VIP but I doubt this will be free to VIP (artificer wasnt free to VIP without favor). They said the HCL server was a one time only thing. They made a huge pile of cash off of it and now they are setting up for HCL 2. SSG is going to milk everything they can for cash, why wouldn't the new OP class/build be any different?

    They never said that.

They said (words to the effect of) that it would last 3 months, etc. The rest is you trying to make them look bad.

ok my bad, they said it was planned to be a one time thing but depending on how the community received it they might do more. Also making them look bad is something they are doing well all on their own.

MMOC: Now as I understand as you mentioned, it’s a 90-day cycle from August 16th to November 15th, and currently not slated to be a recurring event. How is that going to work out, it’s just a one and done?

Ciccolini: Yes, for now, we’re going to see how it affects the community. If it affects the community in a positive way or… we’re very careful because we have a very passionate community that we love, and we want to make sure the things we do affect them in a positive way, and something like this can have an effect on the community that we want to make sure it’s positive before we move forward. We’ll have the chance to see how the players react to what the ruleset was and all of those things before we make any announcements on what to do.

That's really amusing. Because I would say it had a pretty negative effect of emptying the regular servers for the wider premium community... but I imagine it had a very positive effect on DDO income regardless. And those of us on the regular servers endured some of the worst lag in ages even though there were so few people on. Its almost as though server resources were shunted away from the regular servers to make the Hardcore servers better and more stable. But that's just supposition on my part.

I'm guessing 1495. A lot of work went into the reaction system and making all alchemist's new spells. Warlock didn't have that many new spells and I doubt eldritch burst/blast took as much work as the reaction system too.

We're not buying it, the guild's on strike. You wouldn't buy a smashed TV, why pay for shanking Non-INQ ranged? The banks closed.

I am not able to provide a DDO Store cost at this time, but I did want to confirm that Alchemist is free to VIPs and Season Pass holders, and otherwise available in the Store.

Like others have said, I think it'll cost between 1,200 ~ 1,600. It took quite a bit of work to get that reaction system going: dev time is comparable to the price tag, judging from the other classes.

If you do 1-4 lives it will probably pay for itself and you'll probably make extra tp on top
