    Default Bad Horsey

How hard would it be to make vendors not work while you're on a horse? Over and over again at vendors I'm seeing people ride up and block multiple players. And BTW, GET OFFA MY LAWN! End of rant, you may now return to your regularly scheduled cat videos.

Why should my horse be affected by my featherfall?

Can my guildy carry me piggy-back and be affected by my feather fall.

We want raining horses in the harbor....

Or just hit Q followed by E when running up to a vendor and let those people on ponies enjoy their new mounts.

By default, q = "Select Item" and e = "use item".

You have never seen this because there isn't enough players in game to mount this type of vendor assault, or that is what folks have been saying about lack of population! You just didn't want horses in game, so now you want to make them inconvenient to use for others, like folks did about bars.

Hopefully you've got them rebound somewhere. I so don't know how I could live with out them; I use'em to grab loot off the ground, to disarm traps/control panels, etc. Point and clicking drives me a bit insane.

I have seen it and I have had it happen to me on several occasions.
I am not "folks" and I have never made a single complaint about lack of population.
I have a horse. I use it to travel and I like having it. It is a great thing for the slayer areas.
They would be in no way inconvenient to use if you had to dismount to interact with a vendor because you are not traveling while you are interacting with them.
I usually just call my horse up and get in the other person's way as an act of civil disobedience.

No dammit. No. SSG already made horses turn off when you go into a tavern area (including guild ships) because people like you couldn’t figure out how to target a bartender. This is not a real problem.

Please don’t break horses more because a few people can’t figure out how to target.

I can confirm that my guildies are able to carry me in their backpack.

Multiple times in one quest if I forgot to take my ADHD meds that morning.

"People like me" have no problem at all targeting a vendor. I use my mouse and my keyboard just like everyone else. Been working fine for a few years now.
I never said it was a "real problem", just an aggravation that I wanted to make a short rant about. I had hoped that I might encourage a few people to possibly use the Shift key when they are in the Bank and show some simple courtesy to the other players around them.

OK I'm sorry but this is just as much a non-issue as the "horses in taverns" thing was. You make it seem like every vendor in the game is being swarmed with horses, which absolutely isn't true. I personally dismount when I'm at a vendor or at a quest giver, but I'm not going to force other players to do the same; that's ridiculous.

Yeah sure maybe like once a week there's a horse that's partially blocking some irrelevant vendor somewhere but I'll just move my camera or use the backspace key to select them and move on with my day. Horses already aren't allowed in taverns, and I don't want this to snowball into a
    • Horses are no longer allowed while using a vendor
    • Horses are no longer allowed 20 meters from any NPC
    • Horses are no longer allowed in public areas
    • Horses are no longer allowed in explorer areas unless you're the only member of your group

    Sorry, but get over it.

Yep, it was such a non-issue that they fixed it.

If I'm on my horse, I usually don't bother to dismount. I don't think about it because it has, not once in this game since horses have been added, ever been an issue for me.

I've never thought to myself, I should dismount to make it better for everyone else, because I haven't at all, ever, not even once, went to a vendor and felt in the slightest way blocked by horses. I have not once been to a vendor, on or off of my horse, and thought "I cant get to the vendor for all the horses".

I have, on the other hand, occasionally had problems getting to the banker in the market due to a single large half-orc. And even then, I just re positioned myself, very easily, I might add, until I could see the banker.

I will normally not do something that I know will annoy other players. But it has to be a legitimate complaint before I would feel bad about it. I truly don't feel like this is a legitimate complaint. And, trust me, I am a complainer in my own right and understand the frustration felt when others minimize my complaints. (Healing of undead and ladders are two biggies of mine.) It just seems such a non issue.

It may have been an issue in one small instance, maybe a party got out of a dungeon and they all went to the same vendor for repairs.

I just cannot believe, from my experience, that it is an ongoing issue that needs to be fixed.

    Default The Underrated magical items

If we would be seriously logical, developers would need to nerf alot of things (which would also bring true balance to the game...anyhow)

Featherfall items are allready one of the most powerfull magical items themselves. So shall we get back all Arcane and divine effects from items ?

I do not think it is about the horses but the magical effects. Imagine cancelling all magical item effects for non arcane and divine classes. Phfiew...Cant imagine the protest threads. (Actually if we cancel portals aswell the game would be alot of fun. Suddenly everyone would need actual wizards at teams but also for fast travel...But please read the paragraph below)

Actual functional roleplay through arcane casting:

Enchanting and re enchanting items (Wizards are back to the game as actual wizards and now they make platinum)

Also imagine the would be platinum income for wizards and artificers to re enchant non arcane classes' items such as swords or armors or strength items etc. (Most probably everyone would be wizard and artificers sigh...Right now majority are marksman...Imagine the best warriors were fighter and barbarian again with best bab and tirple the hp etc...Everyone would have roles)

We could count airships aswell. Taking care of elementals that make the airships work, taking care of Orien, Cannith, Lyrandar based items maintained. (Actual functional roleplay)

Our horses bytheway are not ordinary horses , mind you. They are magically summoned (conjuration/summoning) Quaal horses. It is a miracle their arcane specialities function properly at Eberron and other settings instead of Mystara only. (Drizzt, his astral lady cat and magical mount envy us all)

About vendors, you may be right. I am also sure players would liketo have an auto dismount and auto mount function if vendors automatically dismounts players though. Which would be Toggle effect to auto re- mount or not to auto re- mount. Which may be tricky to reprogram. If somethings goes wrong there, players will get even angrier.

I guess if you can't argue from facts, argue from hyperbole? How does Player A having Feather Fall at a merchant affect you in any way? Are you sure they even have Feather Fall while they're doing their merchant thing? I really stopped reading right there, due to how absurd the argument is. For myself, I don't care. I took a stand on them in taverns, because I believe that that should never have been a thing, but in public areas, it's a PITA, for some, I suppose, but I don't have a dog in this fight. I will, however, point out absurd arguments, such as this, or "it wasn't an issue" despite a course correction that indicated that it actually was.

Thank you. I love you too buddy.

Against mounts ? Nope...Against magical items ? Nope. I wish you read what I wrote. I dont get why are you asking me if horses or featherfall effect my gameplay when I am not the original poster anyways. I just pointed out many other things should be out of the window if anything should be nerfed. Which is not the case about our magical quall horses.
