i know I'm not a new player but i haven't played in about a decade so i thought i'd still qualify for asking questions. i quit years ago after achieving what was then the height of class ambition and finding it utterly pointless. i made a thorn lord. best bow in the game they said, blah blah. it's a worthless piece of squid ****. it looks just like vender trash and it isn't even as useful as most actual vender trash. it doesn't do nothin. it doesn't even hit very hard. but here we are a decade later and supposedly i can take some of the stink off this piece of trash by giving it sentients. they said it's not really pointless to give a trashy thorn lord sentients. i can always feed it to something that's actually worth using without losing any sentient exp.

problem is, it doesn't work... i even restored it and wiped out the exceptional strength jewel it had and it still wont take this zephyr filigree junk i looted. i put the squid sht in the upper left hand box of the sentient mod thing. then i put the zephyr filigree in the upper left box, but it just pops back into my inventory. if i try putting the filigree jewel in the left box it just tells me what i already know. it tells me my thorn lord is a stupid piece of squid sht.

so ***? do i feed it items to give it enough exp to have a jewel slot but cant because it has no sentients? is the zephyr jewel just not a cool enough jewel? i dont get it. how does this work. ddowiki isn't much help. fail at step 4.
