    That's incredibly short-sighted and over-generalized.

Once you're in mid-heroics, yes, you should* be able to find a Named Weapon that is superior to CC - better crit profile, something.

(* depending on the exact weapon type and what packs you own)

However, for early heroics, and even for some later special-situations (like DR breaking/etc), CC can easily be superior.

the problem with crafting early heroics weapons is the rarity of the materials needed
to give it even a +1D6 (some element)

it is cheaper to buy a loot gen one in AH or a pawn vendor.

Can't imagine what you're referring to, unless you're talking about UNbound weapons (which is, indeed, a whole different level of headache), or some of the more obscure damage types. (Or suffixes - but those are not what you're describing.)

+Light Damage needs Withered Cryptmoss plus Marks of the Keeper - both of those rain down as you quest. +Force Damage, the other "recommended" damage type, uses Funerary Tokens (another glut) and Research Diaries - that latter is the only truly "uncommon" ingredient, but if you don't already have 5 of those, they are easy to farm up.*

(* Hit Repossession (Sharn Conspiracy) - 2 fast Lore sources upstairs, plus an Arcane - don't fight, just grab and run back to entry and reset, couple minutes turn-around. With bad luck, you'd have your 5 (plus a lot of other ingreds) in half an hour, tops.)

Some of the recommended Suffixes are high-Tier and so those ingreds are less common unless you do a lot of Epic questing/farming, but it all depends on exactly which one we're talking about. Depending on the weapon and need, I do like Unnatural Bane - +d10's of unresisted Bane damage against undead, aberrations (Beholders) and monstrous humanoids (Werewolves/Sahuagin/etc.) - Caravan Logbooks (a Common Tier 2) and more Marks of the Keeper - easy.

Up to level 21 you can craft double statistics item with a slot (or two if you were dilligent in the past) and an insightful stat after level 10. No named item beats that.

At early levels, you can craft very good damage weapons and dr breakers. At mid levels, you can tetris your healing or repair amplification nicely.

I do miss the old unique crafting though with things like dusk, blood rage, mobility, stability/greater stability/superior stability. Those were the days

Still good if you have the skill and ingredients. Would like to see an update though. I still see it say "In Beta mode" so yeah, it could use a revamp.

Thanks for response all, so much nice info. Hope this helps some one who has similar question. What I found is - really big number of boosters needed. I had 45 +25% from quest and and +100% pot, got to 220+ lvl, spend around 10k essences before run out of boosters.
