    Default XP penalties in wilderness

It's about time we removed experience penalties for being overlevel in a wilderness. The game has power creeped enough that any wilderness is easy beyond redemption. If a 29 level character wants to clear out korthos wilderness, let him do it. The difference between 2000 xp and 20 xp at level 29 is irrelevant anyway. Of course, that means it shouldn't bother the player either and that's true but it affects you in a big psychological way when there's a 'penalty' on doing something.

If you are worried that a level 20 will powerlevel a level 7 by clearing the red fens for him... do you actually play this game?

PS This comes to me as I am going through sands and red fens in epic. There is too much heroic xp for me to clear them out in heroic so I end up not doing them at all, not even the quests. Also, there's people farming feathers but that's a non-issue as it's only 1500 and it will be done before you even notice.
Bought my first dungeon master's guide in 1992. My favourite part of ddo is coffee and slayers

I agree about upgrading all wilderness maps even if not graphically.

It would be worth the time, bringing them to a level to Orchard, Forgotten Realms, Ravenloft and new Cogs.

Also surprise pop quests and rare Champion bosses with their own minions.

    Great new: he can!

Nice; since they change you're requesting is, as you yourself put it, "irrelevant", then it's as good as done already, with no work needed by the devs. Mission accomplished!

It's been put forth many times over the years to bring the levels of the wilderness areas in line with the quests in them. There are several low level areas that have quests, when run on elite, which are over the max level of the area...and still are after all these years so the powers obviously don't care.

I'd be much more interested in a checkbox for wilderness zones "set scaling to full" that would cause the zone to produce creatures as if you had a party of 6 players even when solo/duo. So many wildernesses are so sparse for a single character that doing the slayer for the zone is a waste of a 200% pot, and there's never really anyone looking to do slayers in 90% of the wilderness zones.

This change would help sell xp pots and slayer pots, and still reward full groups for a higher kill rate, so it should be a net positive for players and SSG both.

Maybe another checkbox to make zone respawn so I don't have to keep zoning out (and increase my chance of client crashing).

    I agree!

I usually hit various appropriate wilderness areas as I am leveling up. I barely need Korthos slayers by the time I get out of there. There are wilderness areas for most levels as your character moves up. Some are both heroic and then anew for epic. There's not much need to reinvent the wheel here.

The relevance of doing such (going to low level wilderness areas) at higher levels for a new player would be to fill in your monster manual with unique monsters.
