    Default Seriously Weekly Coupons items.

I just want to know who in the heck is now deciding the items given away. Hair Dye? Aid All spell? and a host of other total junk. It's really not that much guys to say thanks to dedicated players. Quit insulting us with this junk, utter junk! And tell the person in charge to do it on time what a flake this person in charge is. Sorry but true guys, it's just sad at this point.

Then if "free" is just not worth it, don't waste your time redeeming the code.

the point is if your even going to do it then do it right. Free or not is not the point its like going to the orderve table and the only thing they are giving out is the toothpick. whats the point?

Though there is some logic in what C-dog says, I get what you are saying.
I imagine the point should be a marketing one, and at times it can be a good one, like Bells of opening and Supreme Ability pots and the like, things that might get players into the habit of buying more from the store. the code items can be very nice at times, the hair dye isn't the worst that they have put out there, sometimes they put items which can be found in fair amounts from running any mid level heroic quest, like pots of elemental res +20!! or generic scrolls. the only possible conclusions I can think of is that they mix it up so that A) they don't end up giving away too much good stuff. B) they don't want it to be seen as a pure marketing hook. C) there is also the possibility that whoever is deciding on the item is either using and outdated loot table to roll on what is the weekly give away, or they just aren't thinking about the usefulness of the item to the general player base.

That all said though we should consider the mouths of horses here

Facts do not cease to exist because they are ignored.
The downside to sycophancy is that you never get the best deal.
Free spirits are always condemned. Only sycophants are tolerated.
Even negative feed back can have a positive side if used to improve.

The point is that your opinion is not universally shared.

Just because "you" don't find value in these freebies doesn't mean others don't as well.

    That's the point.

OP is right. Some of these freebies are like "huh?"... lol

But whatever, I just pass on over them and wait for the decent ones.
My take on "the grind": https://www.ddo.com/forums/showthrea...=1#post6220972

Ordinary humans have inhibitions that serve as a buffer against what we know is bad behavior.
However, some people, by blaming others for their own bad behavior, develop a thought pattern that allows them to override self-control in order to achieve a selfish end.
    - My opinion on exploiters and cheaters blaming SSG for unfair punishment.

He's right in that not everything appeals to everyone. (no surprise there)

Not that all freebies need to, nor that DDO should try to achieve such.

    Imo.
