On R1, I usually Inviszerg the Furnace 1-3. Have a high jump (potion/scroll) and feather fall.

F1, I typically jump straight to the platform with the switch instead of running around.
F2, After running up the first flight of stairs, I run along the pipe to the long ladder climb. You can jump and grab the platform where the fire elemental is at, then turn around and jump onto the ladder.
F3, On the first valve that you have a pet/hireling to pull, I do it several times until it sends me way up to the ceiling. I can then land on the platform with the fire elemental, then run on the pipes and jump to the switch.

Breaker room, I slot in a crafted Electric absorption and protection trinket.

Also use Dimension Door when possible (cuts down some of the running).

I tend to skip the "Muckbane" optional.
