Being few of the many but most probably some of the longest quest chains of old, these would do great with higher level settings but also a revamp for their end rewards that would worth the long runs (Example Sarrowdusk Island, Tangleroot Gorge, Seal of Shan To Kor,Only a single reward for too long runs. This should be a set of rewards that would improve with higher settings)
Good old wilderness areas with no revamp such as Cerulean hills, Nothing at Blackanvil forest, Searing heights, Ataraxia's haven, Restless isles more and more.
Lorsmarch chain and Droam (from Khorvaire...and now we have Khorvaire!) and neighbourhoods of Stormreach to Jungles ( Snakes, lizards, birds, dinosaurs, primates...ftw!)
Some of those wildernerss roaming style inside a quest; Redwillow's ruins. One of my favorites with wilderness trip, suprise npcs. Lots of npcs types that pop up out of the jungle or old ruins !...Again could do with higher level settings and rewards revamp. How about another one. Gwylan's stand !
How about old friends we wait for a long time ?
Player race Wildmen, Bugbear, Ogre, Troll, Hobgoblin, Sahuagin, Troglodyte, Gnoll, Orc, Minotaur...Giant ? (Most of them medium sized) New packs set at older places we long time players love and play for a decade would be awesome and trust me people will love them.
It is true that Eberron setting has steam punk like techology which is empowered by arcane knowledge. Please do not throw away the other side of Eberron, which is not high tech and not futuristic. ( My humble opinion is the latest playable characters for Eberron were deep in to Cannith-like and arcane (?) tech style.
No offense but, Artificer and Inquisitive (I love how thyre handled at DDO. Artificer is better balanced for sure. Inquisitve in my opinion should have been as a more passifier skiller/trapper/debuffer instead of pure dps approach) meant to be Light adventuring types who are not the frontliners and warrior types; both being comparable to Rogue and Cleric who would mostly stay back and deal with other things and mostly support the group. Anyhow after playing them it just didnt feel like it.
Shouldnt warrior classes and semi rogue or semi healer warrior classes be the focus; when players do not aim a balanced raid team ? Am I the only one who thinks like this, or backline casters and healers and scientists and detectives turned out heroic warriors when warriors turned out helpless dreamers lately ? (This is my humble n00b cents with all good good wishes. Please do not hate me)
Please some love for original adventuring classes. These should not have to be highly magical or sci-fi furistic builds aswell. Much easier and closer to handle since its very close to real life characters.
Here, I do not mean pure brutes by warriors for sure. There can allways be subclass trees to support battle rogues, battle medics, and assualt specialists or antimagic specialsits under adventuring warrior/soldier/mercenary types...This would also be more balanced and realistic by means of both fantasy and sci-fi approach.
Wouldnt this be much easier to balance ? (Combat medic, Field trap cleaner and similar variations)
I love other settings and realms for sure but, long time players all started with Eberron and we have emotional background with the game and the development. Sharn (Khorvaire side is also beatifull). Please take some time and do some small additons and revamp for your Oldies but Goldies.
