I'm recently back after a few years away, and full of grand(iose) plans - at the moment my main has only a few past lives (Druid, Monk, Paladin, Shadar-Kai and a Martial Epic). I left her partway through a second Druid life, but once I'm up to 20, I think I'd like to TR into something that I can comfortably run (solo) 20-30 a few times on, and rack up some Epic past lives (and maybe solo the (non-Legendary) Shroud and other raids a few times to get some nice toys for future lives) before I drop back to 1.
From my vague memories of Epic play before, this means that I'll ideally be running something that doesn't depend too heavily on its EDs.
Trapping would be convenient (particularly if I'm going to try soloing on Elite, I seem to recall those traps hurting a lot) and a nice XP bump, but not essential. I saw a Warforged Wizard 18/Artificer 2 Inquisitive build that looked versatile, and apparently Inquisitive DPS is really good. I see Pale Master has changed a bit, and Warlock's a class that turned up while I was away, and that also looks interesting. I guess what I'm saying is I'm open to suggestions (And as my current life is only about L10 now, I have a bit of time to make up my mind.)
