    Default Epic Bardic Nukage

I know they can't hit Sorc levels, but Scoundrel Bard in Fatesinger or possibly Draconic sounds like a pretty good time.

Anyone have experience as a pure bard nuker in the current climate that can weigh in?

I did one maybe a year ago, right after the arcane pass where sorcs started nuking everything into oblivion. This was before sharn, so I didn't have any of that gear, but I can't imagine it would change things that much.

I wasn't very pleased. Max crits in the 7-9k range, and that was with an Ender LGS set boosting crit damage by a hefty amount. Might be a little better now after the epic destiny pass, but probably not by much. Cooldowns were a major issue. If I could have continuously blasted, it would have been quite a bit better, but I was always waiting for a spell to be off cooldown. Now that Fatesinger has a Greater Shout SLA, that'll improve things a little. It won't have the same punch as a sorc though.

Solo/duo raids and solo R10s. Come see what a bard can do.

Using sonic spell power for fire spells and vice versa it might be fun for low skull play in Draconic Incarnation!

I will admit that I wasn't a Tiefling, so my sonic power was a little lower than if I had been able to max fire spell power and use that. That being said, I don't think an extra 200 spell power would have made much of a difference when comparing the damage output to what Sorcs can do.

The real problem is the actual spell damage. Look at the base damage on a Caster Level 30 Greater Shout (150), you'll see it's only a fraction of what Meteor Swarm (594 CL27) or Icerberg (850 CL27) can do.

Oh yeah, it definitely won't compare to sorc, didn't mean to imply it would. Could simply do fine in lower skulls if you're looking for something with more flavor to play!

I can tell you for certain that the Fatesinger SLAs, even with all the buffs and the epic feat that boosts them are not doing anything in epic. Energy burst and all that jazz sure, but not the SLAs so if you go Spellsinger ignore them.

Heck, even the twisted light sla from angelic did more damage
