    Default Crash to desktop

    In the past couple weeks, I have had an increasing number of crashes to desktop.

    Event ID 1000

    Faulting application name: dndclient.exe, version: 4400.48.6210.4003, time stamp: 0x5dcc9572
    Faulting module name: dndclient.exe, version: 4400.48.6210.4003, time stamp: 0x5dcc9572
    Exception code: 0xc0000005
    Fault offset: 0x004ec39b
    Faulting process id: 0x3b2c
    Faulting application start time: 0x01d5a87826973c80
    Faulting application path: C:\Program Files (x86)\StandingStoneGames\Dungeons & Dragons Online\dndclient.exe
    Faulting module path: C:\Program Files (x86)\StandingStoneGames\Dungeons & Dragons Online\dndclient.exe
    Report Id: bfa48fd9-aba2-4ee7-9e7f-be3fc7759e8f
    Faulting package full name:
    Faulting package-relative application ID:

    I started with making sure my graphics drivers were up to date.
    I have also tried in Full Screen, Full Screen Windowed and Windowed mode. Happens in all modes, though seems more frequent in Full Screen (Windowed).

    Resolution 2560x1440
    DirectX11
    Win10 Pro

    Checking the event viewer for each crash, they mostly just report a basic App crash for dndclient.exe. One of them pointed to a specific *.dll file, umbra.dll.

    Digging through the *.wer files for a couple of the crashes:

    Sig[3].Name=Fault Module Name
    Sig[3].Value=dndclient.exe
    Sig[4].Name=Fault Module Version
    Sig[4].Value=4400.48.6210.4003
    Sig[5].Name=Fault Module Timestamp
    Sig[5].Value=5dcc9572
    Sig[6].Name=Exception Code
    Sig[6].Value=c0000005
    Sig[7].Name=Exception Offset
    Sig[7].Value=004ec39b

    Before I start playing around with my shadows setting in game, I wanted to check and see if someone at SSG had some better understanding of that *.dll and what it controls, and perhaps what the exception codes are pointing to.

    Full *.wer file can be provided if necessary.
    Thanks in advance for any assistance.

    Thanks, will give that a shot. I'll update after a couple days.

    No crashes since changing back to DirectX9. Thanks for the suggestion.
