Teleport failure
Jump off your airship without your Feather Fall item.
Telekinesis from a Beholder that launches you into a Gelatinous Cube that also happens to be holding a small swarm of Exploding Constructs that all go off at once.
I don't think any of those enemies can be found near each other, but that would be unquestionably the best way to die... at least if you were filming it. Otherwise, who would believe you?
Self-immolation in a fire trap.
BTW, one of my three characters didn't make the Hardcore League Season One survivors list. My Aasimar ranger, Celestrion The Radiant Herald, was Level 9 (banking Level 10) when he died in a sonic trap.
Being lasered during a livestream. For once, it's somebody else's fault!
Falling off a ramp in the harbor.
Ghallanda (38): Vilas, Alphon, Whelm, Thaylan, Tyclmi, Amgine, Talc, Dedlee, Payle, Darell, Talenta, Zhen, Thrane, Arrith, Durdyn, Magefyre, Necrophil, Tulgey, Borogove, Hasugi, Shawal, Hailestorm, Branthan, Lightningbug, Bettercall, Elecktric, Zardu, Zergworthy, BrotherOf, Missadventer, Bytemy, Demogeorgia, Tizen, Warrcore, Permadeaf, Fullmettle, etc...
Going on auto-run and missing the bridge in the Twelve.
mull this one over -
when you're dead first,
you're dead last.
wow - that was a really long list. although I actually thought that the list would be published within the chronicle itself rather than linking to a forum thread, although it is nice that it got put up in the Hall of Fame. I sort of would have liked it to have been presented in some plaque format.Welcome to this special edition of the DDO Chronicle! When Season One of the Hardcore League opened, we promised we'd put everyone who made it to at least level 5 and survived into the DDO Chronicle, and, um, there are a lot of you!
I would actually like to see published a list of all the characters that died on the hardcore league, and maybe you could publish the list in a graphic cemetery format.
the best way to die in the hardcore league is when you are soloing so you cannot blame anyone else.... but you still try to blame it on lag.
Eaten by a hungry Dracolich. (It looks good on your epitaph.)
Sacrificing oneself in order to ensure the rest of the party is able to complete the heroic Black Abbot raid.
"Swords will cut you wide open!" - Trip Fisk
Picking up the only item that has not had the trap box dealt with in the The artwork room of Repossession almost causing a party wipe and the blame the trapper, who you just got killed, and refuse to run with them ever again cause your lack of attention is always someone elses fault!
As witnessed by Oug the Dumb Half orc barb standing in the middle of the room, who had invested in high saves and lived to tell the tale![]()

Facts do not cease to exist because they are ignored.
The downside to sycophancy is that you never get the best deal.
Free spirits are always condemned. Only sycophants are tolerated.
Even negative feed back can have a positive side if used to improve.
Killed by Danger Room. That's what actually happened to me on Hardcore Server.
