Default Need shuriken monk build. EE and/or reaper capable

See tons of builds in repository but most look outdated. Anything viable for EE/reapers now? Doesnt
Have to be pure monk either. And not f2p. Have only an EPL (brace) and about to do CoTQ and paladin PL.

Yes, the best build for every class is probably inquisitive, but that's not what they asked for and there's no need to encourage all pugs to be 5 inquisitives and 1 something else instead of 4 inquisitives and 2 something else.

Shuriken monks are just fine! My suggestions for someone without a lot of past lives/gear etc.

Heroic levelling: Throwing is* terrible, I'd suggest take the throwing feats but spend your APs on whatever melee things instead, at least until you can get Improved Precise Shot. Ignore all the special monk attacks, they're Not For You.

    Handy gear:
    - The ice robe from House Cannith Challenges (various levels) gives a freezing ice proc that works pretty often through heroics. Because shurikens hit constantly but not all that hard relatively, anything at all that adds a proc to your hits is great, e.g. tendon slice.
    - Heroic shuriken: If you do want to throw shurikens, there's a level 8 one from Sorrowdusk Isle with an amazing crit profile.
    - Early epic shuriken: The Cormyrean shurikens from eveningstar are your best bet - they come with random effects, if you can get lucky and find one with e.g. paralyzing and something else decent it'll mean you've got great CC with the attack speed you'll have all through epics, and each throw they get extra random effects that aren't displayed. You can also add a sentient gem to it.
    - Legendary shuriken: Whatever named one you can find or ravenloft freebie.

Enhancement points: All the non-melee stuff for 41 points in Ninja Spy, spend the rest wherever seems fitting for your playstyle. E.g. passive Ki regen from Henshin for convenience, prr from Shintao for less dying, racial tree for something. Falconry will get you the most extra DPS and some useful active attacks so you've got something to put on the hotbar.

Destiny: Shiradi is probably where it's at - whirling wrists extra attack speed, Pin and Otto's Whistler to stop enemies moving and do helpless damage, an Hunt's End for huge damage.

Ki: You don't get any ki from attacks, and you need it for 10k stars as often as possible, and ideally for the ninja spy 25% incorp to be up as well. Sources include Henshin Mystic (13 AP), Grandmaster of Flowers (T1 twist), Ocean Stance (I find it works better than Wind, even though you want as much dex as possible).

Stats: Max dex all the way, and you won't go wrong - wis is very useful too, but every point of dex is two extra chances to land extra hits. Ideally you'd get this to 100 at level cap for triple hits every time and you attack fast, but without a lot of past lives and possibly tomes just whatever you can achieve.

    * With the rebalancing of the BAB attack speed curve, throwing in earlier heroics may be less terrible now? I haven't tried.... good luck...

I've tested about all the shuri builds out there and they are all fun, which is what counts for me. Will you out kill an inquisitor, not usually but I have a few times. Jakeelas 8monk/ 6ranger/ 6 fighter is a good build still, even without the AA imbue bug. I'm currently running a pure monk, loving the extra 20% run speed and the boost in defenses and 10k damage. As Elfishski said, get the freezing ice robe from House C challenges, paralyzing shuriken from Eveningstar challenges and put tendon slice or crippling in your gear set somewhere and even if you do pull agro, mobs won't be going anywhere near you so melee's won't ***** at you too often

    Check out this one. https://www.ddo.com/forums/showthrea...U44-gear-setup

I have been running it and its been pretty good to me. I did drow (had a 20 heart from the olden days and its a 1st lifer). It did feel kinda weak until i got to 29 to get sharn gear but i have next to zero lvl 15 sharn gear or epic gear so i was playing with what i found and i'll admit that is probably the reason. With about 80% of the sharn gear i need, its been really good. I will work it towards the raid stuff but for EE/low reapers i am doing fine.
    Wow!
