Default Running DDO on a very low performance computer (ASUS Transformer T100TA)

    Hello,

I am running DDO on a machine with the following specs:

    ASUS Transformer Book T100
    Intel Atom Z3740
    2GB RAM
    Intel HD Graphics (Bay Trail)
    Passively cooled system

    My performance settings are:
    - Low res textures
    - No preloading
    - Medium graphics preset
    - No Antialiasing
    - DirectX 9

Currently the game is running okay-ish, mostly playable, with around 17 fps in Kings Forest while looking at the forest canopy. I am looking for tips, for example which graphics setting has the most impact on the performance, and which parameters I may be able to tune up a little. Any experience would be helpful.

    Thanks!

What are you willing to play on as far as graphics preset?
What operating system are you running?
Do you know how big your page file is?
Are shadows enabled anywhere in settings?
Are post processing effects turned on?
What resolution are you playing on?
Is your game installed on the same drive as your Operating system?

Highest possible with stable frame rate. High would be nice.

What operating system are you running?
    Windows 10 1909 32bit

Do you know how big your page file is?
    1933 MB (System controlled)

Are shadows enabled anywhere in settings?
    Probably. I will disable them.

Are post processing effects turned on?
Probably. Which ones have the highest effect on GPU load?

What resolution are you playing on?
    1368x768 (Native screen resolution)

Is your game installed on the same drive as your Operating system?
No, due to space reasons it's on the SSD in the keyboard dock.

It's great that you have DDO on a separate drive. On systems with low memory, system needs to swap extensively, and having two disks somewhat alleviates the situation.
Here are some experiments how DDO ran on a weaker computer, perhaps you can find some information there: Running DDO on a Potato

As far as the page file I would increase it to either 2048 or 4096 to double system ram at least.

Pretty much all of the settings under the post processing effects list can be high strain depending on the card. Honestly I normally turn them off to improve performance along with unchecking player mesh combining.

The bigger the screen resolution the more video memory it will require, As far as I know your Intel graphics card has 64mb dedicated video ram and anything requiring more will use system ram if possible which is slower. (If I sound rude or belittling to you, I am sorry that is not my intention)

Player crowd quality might be turned down all the way.

I assume you want to try to keep distant imposters on so you can see enemies farther away.

How is your Landscape draw distance? I normally set that as low as I can possibly.

Anything lighting and shadows should be turned off for best performance. Also under trouble shooting tab you can limit frame rate to the capped amount you would like to see. I have played on 30-60+ frames per second before. If Vsync is on, I would recommend turning it off so it doesn't work twice as hard to produce the frames your seeing. Resolution wise you could probably set to 1024x768 or lower to help your computer save video ram. If you need it to stay at the current resolution then you will have to work around that as far as potentially bottlenecking performance.
