Hey guys I am back after 5 years and have been doing some research on the changes and well, I'm overwhelmed. Its like starting over!

First, I am currently on life 16 as an Artificer. That leaves me with only needing Warlock for heroic completionist. I understand heroic completionist isn't as great as it used to be with the PL's available now, but I think I am too close not to make this my PL priority. So, does that mean I need to TR into Warlock, take that to 20 then TR again and do a full life to 30 to get into Epic and iconic TR's?



My longer term goals (Knowing the game it will probably change enough for me to reconsider by the time I am ready for this) are to spend some time at doing Epic levels before chasing any racial or more class TR's. So I will either be doing Epic or Iconic TRs for a bit next. By then the game will definitely have changed enough no need to plan further.

I thought I had more questions, but one I really need to asked in the arti forum and the others I answered with wiki before I posted and looked stupid.

I will say I have been listening to a lot of Gingerspyces (Don't know if I spelled it right) youtube videos and those have been HUGELY helpful.

You are correct except that on your Warlock life when you TR at 20 back to level 1 you can choose to do an Ionic that will start at level 15 (which you then have to take to 30 before you can TR. Once you hit 30 on the iconic you can either epic reincarnate back to 20 or iconic TR back to 1 and get both an iconic and heroic PL). I also agree that you are too close not to finish off heroic completionist. If you happen to have other heroic PLs that you want, a great (and I would argue better) way to get them it to pair them with Iconic lives. The reason being it is much faster to run from 15-30 than it is to run from 1-20 (for me at least).

Racial completionist is great but requires a pretty big commitment to pay off big, I would say that focusing on epic PLs after getting heroic completionist would make the most sense, give you the most bang for your buck and give you a sense of whether or not you want to make the racial commitment to bang out a few racial past lives (even if you do not go for completionist).

You're correct: to get Heroic Completionist you'll need to TR into a Warlock, level to 20 and HTR (or 30 and ITR) into something else.

The general consensus is that warlocks are best as pure classes, but convenience can outweigh the minor benefits of going pure.

- If you're HTRing right at 20, a couple of Rogue / Monk / Artificer levels might help a lot via trapping and/or evasion, as 18/2 Warlock still has a pretty easy time in heroics (I splashed 2 Rogue a couple of years back for my warlock life and it was pretty nice)
- If you're ITRing right at 30, you'd get some good epic play in. Warlocks aren't quite as OP in epics as in heroics, but they still do all right. You'll probably want to do something other than a pure build, since +1 Hearts are expensive and there are no iconic that start as warlocks
- If you're averse to spellcasters or ranged in general, kludge together some sort of hybrid build so you'll enjoy it. For example, 15 Warlock / 3 Bard / 2 Rogue for a swashbuckling aura-lock with lots of temp hp. It only has to get you to 20 and will be solid up to that point
