I guess they were expecting the fast horse to be in high demand? It does seem on the high side to me.

That price for the cosmetics, a mount and a mount certificate bag is completely ridiculous.
I dont understand what they are thinking. No way I am ever going to buy it.

Wow. Just wow.
As awesome as the cosmetic is, 3k points is just too much for it IMO.
I can get by without a horse for the time being. 3k. Three thousand. Unglaublich. *shakes head*

It's Warduke's helmet though.
Yeah you're right, that's simply too much.
I'm voting with my wallet on this one.
No, thank you, SSG.
The cosmetic sword is bland, but decent. The helmet, shield, and cloak are pretty nice. I wouldn't mind the cosmetic armor but OMFG WHAT DID YOU DO TO THE BOOT!?!? Whose idea was it to have mismatched boots!? It's so hideous! I looked at it and instantly destroyed it, it's so horrible.
2995 is A LOT for just this, though. I kind of regret buying it. The mount is decent, but you can get 100% speed mounts with only a little effort, and I know I'll get some use out of the cosmetic shield, but...it's not worth 2995.

Yeah, it's pretty disappointing. I don't know what the prices for mounts are because I haven't checked, but it seems like almost 3000 points is a bit much for one set of cosmetics, a horse, and a bag to hold your horse and any other horses you may get.
Let's say that a cosmetic set is valued at around 300 points per piece (based on the average cosmetic helmets, which are either 250 or 350, ignoring the often cheaper hats that give buffs but don't look as cool), doubled for armor (some armors are up to 1k points on the DDO store, but that seems a bit exorbitant for value imo). That would be about 1500 points for the cosmetics, since there's a weapon and shield, which are hard to value not having a direct reference for cosmetic items but would reasonably be considered to be at least a glammering mirror (250 points) The sword and shield don't have any aura effects, but they are unique, I believe (unless there are lootable versions in KotB), so I think it would be fair to round them up a bit.
That means that the mount and bag alone are accounting for 1500 points. Now, is there any extra value there? Dubious to say that there is. There are no mounts in the store other than through the bundle, and the bag to my knowledge isn't available separately, so it's solely conjecture. Is it worth $15 to you? If not, then pass. I haven't had the chance to see what it takes to get a horse through play, so the grind may be extreme or minor, I have no clue. Since it's a starter area, it might be very easy to get what you need across just a couple lives or it may take a concerted effort, so I can't really say one way or another. The gold spin mounts... well, that's another topic (I still hate that gold spins have Bigsby's Hands. It even calls them "questing tools" like there's any PUG that doesn't use voice but does use Bigsby's hands. But, I have an undying hatred of the inventory cluttering garbage that wastes my spin rewards from my season pass, so hey, maybe it's just me) but I would guess on a 96+ and a small chance (probably 1-2%) you would need to roll at least (1 in 20 to get 96+ and then probably 2 in 100ish if each mount is 1%, without public drop rates we can only conjecture)1000 spins to get a mount on average if my math is right, so that is definitely less economical than the alternatives. Meanwhile, there is a question of how valuable mounts are- since the 200% movement replaces base movement, that's probably only a 70% improvement over base movement with 30% striding or 60% over the 40% bonus from Chronoscope or 50% over the 50% bonus from the Phiarlan's Pendant of Time. That's decent, but I don't know what the mounting/dismounting animations are like, so for short walks they're probably not that helpful. Big adventure areas benefit more, since Chronoscope/Pendant buffs don't work there, but you can't fight while mounted, so that's another dubious situation if you're actually going for slayer (though it does make explorer and getting to quests easier- I'm not sure if using journals dismounts but if it does that's going to be a huge pain).
Using the same math, WPM has 900 points of cosmetic items, a pet (~200-400 maybe? Pets are priced quite differently, but the crab is a bit mundane, so perhaps it's a bit budget compared to other pets), a universal tree (495). Even before the sentient experience, that's a value of at least 1600, possibly 1800. But, more importantly, it didn't feel like the WPM additions were overpriced. Yeah, they were a new scheme of monetization, but it was useful and fun stuff that fit the content (well, except for Falconry probably, but I saw that as a neat bonus). I wish the new pack had been priced lower and it felt like there was a neat bonus instead of me having to decide if I want to spend $30 on cosmetics and maybe a mount I may use in a month of potentially heavy spending where I am not entirely certain I'll get paid my full salary thanks to budgets being garbage.
So, personally, I'll probably wait until I have one of the normal speed mounts and then see how hard it is to upgrade. The cosmetics don't do a lot for me, since I'm drowning in so many cosmetics that I spend five minutes junking them on new characters and I never get to use all my cool expansion pack/season pass cosmetics anyway, so it will come down to how whale will I go. I want to be excited, but when the price gives sticker shock I get a bit cynical that it's a cash in on a new feature.

Hey, in the reference, the character only had one pant leg and had mismatched boots, soooooo upgrade? I actually like the asymmetry for making things a bit more unique- a lot of the cosmetic armors are rather predictable and bland, and even though this isn't my cup of tea either, I could see tossing it on a barbarian for fun. I think the sword is pretty meh though, given that it's a pretty basic longsword.
I haven't seen a ton of good reference photos up close, so I can't be 100% certain, but I think it's a pass for me. I think my favorite part of the set is the horse barding, so that's not necessarily a stellar argument for purchasing.

As ridiculous as the price point is, the grind for the horses is even worse. They are BtC, which means grinding one out for EEEVERY character. I've been at it 2 hours and collected a grand total of 3 of the stupid feathers(of 15 needed for a single horse). It's enough of a hassle I'd be ready to buy the pack if I weren't out of points.
It has been 6 months since the last points sale.

You get a permanent horse with the bundle, right? Why do i need a bag for more horses that stack to 100.
Cheers,
Titus.
