Default Visual Feedback for Low Health.

As a visually impaired player keeping my health bar has been a bit of an issue since my stroke.
I would really appreciate an overlay that would indicate my current health like they do in lots of first-person shooters such as red around the edges of the screen, and maybe an audible option of a heartbeat.
    Many thanks.

I would also love a low-health warning system. It could be something very simple.

I don't have a good reason like the OP, I'm just incredibly inattentive.
I have been known to take enhancements and spells that trigger on low health simply as a warning that i need to heal myself!
Of Course I can CC - Death is a form of CC.
My other character is a triple everything completionist.

in UI you can display overhead health so your little red bar always floats above your character.

you can also have the party icon display numerical percentage values.

you can also move your own character's HP/SP icon to a center location top above or bottom under your character.

sentients tend to ouch ouch around when a lot of increments of dmg come in - though that is not reliable

not sure if anything else is needed rly

edit: sry read the op too fast didnt notice you have some health issues.

not sure how to get around the problem with what is in the UI currently then...

Heartbeat sound. Simple and effective. Okay, does not work with deaf people.

Another idea would be something looking like the World Event Message, but blinking. And being there for several seconds (player might be looking after his/her cat).

When 1 point of health, maybe even the screen flashing read.
"You are a Tiefling. And a Cleric, with the Domain of the Sun. Doesn't that contradict each other ?" "No, all my friends are playing evil. I found that so boring that I decided to be on the good side. And, besides, Sun and Fire, where is the difference, really ?"

My favorite part about hitting level 20 is getting to hear the sentient weapons say, "Watch your health, dumbass!" It's a good reminder for me to refill that red bar.
No one in the world ever gets what they want
    And that is beautiful
    Everybody dies frustrated and sad

Same here. It's saved me from many careless deaths just because damage can be so spiky and the game demands you pay attention to so many things in combat - position, cooldowns, hot keys, enemy health, telegraphs, etc. More intuitive feedback would be a big help.
