That time doesn't work for my schedule. I can do either 3AM or 8AM on Sunday. Please let me know which of those works for SSG.

in all honesty this restart time is terrible for those not in america it screws up our raid nights and it is really giving us the ...insert impolite word here.

we do love your commitment to the game and we realize that your intention is to help, can you please reschedule this, may i suggest about 10hrs - 14hrs earlier? this would place it late at night thursday in the USA, early morning in europe and while oceana is still at work.

that probably wont happen because that might be outside of standard operating hours for SSG, and they probably picked this time because metrics state its the least amount of players on during a time they have employess to do the restarts

yes it might well be the case...but to us rest of the world people this is friday night and late afternoon/night in europe...24 hours earlier would also work as it would then be a thursday night and well...who cares its thursday. but friday night/late afternoon which is where it is, just sucks.

Its late night for the Wolf, he'll usually be running several Friday Night (late night for him) PUG Raids on Thelanis I believe; aimed at sociable people - not elitists. Typically he'll attract a large majority of: Australian and New Zealand players.

Therefore he's not going to be usually staying awake past midnight just to finish the last few Raids on his regular weekly list after a Friday server reboot at around [13:00 UTC]. By that time he'll have likely have done over four Raids. I'm not sure what the hours of his job are but he's likely choosing a time he is free most weeks.

Possibly he wants to find out; is how long SSG plan to keep doing these Weekly Friday reboots? Plus he has concerns as to whether SSG are capable of managing their "stressed network" without these additional Friday interruptions. Because it's likely a very popular time of night to play the game around Oceania. Refer to the listed "downtime" times as per the 'Original Post'.

As was stated it's likely a time that most of the SSG staff are going to be arriving in the Office: 09:00 (Boston), and easier for them to choose that slot. So it is unlikely they'd dramatically shift the downtime. Nonetheless it was a query as to why the last two Friday downtimes have been chosen at the time, etc.

Are you kidding me? No announcement here like on other similar threads. No "The game worlds are back up" on login screen and no login button.

Well now that is bizarre...still no announcements but button works fine now...I missed 9 hours on a day off.

Wolf is quite right. It is ridiculous to have a downtime imposed on ANYONE'S weekend, and that includes a Friday night.

This is only a relatively recent development afaik - we never used to have these restarts at this time. What's wrong with say a Tuesday or Wednesday instead?

A bit of consideration for your players would be welcome here SSG.

yea its the timeslot we have concern about, we would prefer that this is not a weekly occurance as it has been for the last 4 weeks. no problem during the week, restart it, but its friday night for us. and friday afternoon/early night in europe.

The reboot was definitely needed. I had my Arti dog go missing on me last night. Not in game, no skills bar and when I tried to resummon it told me I already had a pet. A little bit later on I entered Delera's GY (quest) and no mobs. Left and came back and mobs, so great. No end-boss. Ran around the zone a bit and about 5 minutes after I had completely cleared it he spawned with his trash.

Whatever was happening late this week it was overloading the servers and they were slow to register things. I got the dog back by DCing from the game and then re-entering, Took about 30 seconds longer than it should have but he showed up when I whistled.

Is there a scheduled restart today? I cant find anything about it on dev tracker, service news, or on the launch screen. Was planning an early morning von 5-6 and now that is canned. Would love a bit more heads up about these things when possible.

If SSG is going to restart the servers on days other than Tuesday, it would be nice to have a heads up.

While on HC got a world's down in 50 min, no 1 hr notice. then 45 min, then 30 then nada... but at least i was aware ahead of time. would have been nice to know last night but i imagine they came in to work today and discovered some issues that this would address. happy hunting!
