Default Iconic Inquisitor-For use with any iconic race/heroic primary class

Given the current flexibility of the inquisitive universal enhancement tree I wanted to come up with a build that could be used with any Iconic race paired with 10 levels of a heroic class for those looking for ways to "double dip" on Iconic/Heroic past lives. After coming back 2 years ago from an 8 year break (before Iconics were released), I found it very helpful and efficient to run iconics while rounding out my heroic past lives at the same time.

Design goals of the build were as follows:

    1. Work with any primary heroic class and still hit the BAB needed for improved precise shot by level 15
    2. Int based for skill point flexibility
    3. Leverage the power of the inquisitive universal tree to provide build path flexibility
    4. Provide decent DPS/Self Healing/Utility and Flexibility to play solo or assist a party.

I wanted to finish my last two Scoundrel past lives and pair them with my last Warlock and my last Bard lives. In order to make the build work as a scoundrel along with Warlock you will need a +1 heart of wood to get rid of the first bard level but I believe the build will work with any iconic race provided the initial race is the one you are looking to have as your primary class.

****You will need to hit 19 Dex by level 15 for IPS (+6 tome) so you will need a MINIMUM of 14 dex and more if you do not have +6 or greater tomes.****

8 fighter gives you the BAB and the extra feats to add power and options to the build and Kensai is a fine tree to complement inquisitive
2 Rogue gives you trapping and Evasion
10X gives you whatever class you want a past life in, I have not plugged it into a planner but I believe there is still enough BAB to hit the IPS breakpoints by level 15 even if you wanted to run as a deep gnome (Wizard and Sorc have +.5 BAB/level progression).

cleaned up some of the formatting and removed all the past life data, the build as listed shows racial completionist but will work fine without all of the racial APs

I would only bother with +1 LR Heart for endgame builds requiring an iconic w/o the tied level.

Simply running an Iconic PL build should not require a heart unless you're basically out of options and want to maximize TR time efficiency.

Say, I want to get Warlock + D.Gnome PLs x3 on an Inquisitive base. How would you go about a split that requires no heart if I can survive w/o IPS till lvl18?
10wlk/9rog/1wiz? Do you think its an acceptable split?

Yes but 12 lock would be better. 4 arti would get you rune arm use and a feat as well. And can take ips earlier.

+4 wiz and go zombie mode? Earlier when? lvl15? otherwise not that superb.
    What's the optimal levelling?

Earlier as in like 17 I would think just shooting from the hp. 3 wiz should get you zombie. It's a lot of fun if you have a PM around to heal ya. Otherwise it's ok. Not a ton slower attack speed due to most of the speed in inquis attacks being reload. Real good when NHB is active. But 12 lock gets you access to temp hp tick on aura so real nice. Light damage to attacks. Maybe extend for your wiz feat for longer displacements. I just did a 15 ranger, 3 wiz, 2 arti version. Art gets a lever puller, run arm use for more damage/equip slot, and traps, of course no evasion so. Either way, its easy to run up.

Quikster has a nice option, for me I would never play a "levelling" build that gets IPS that late. If making an iconic I would not even consider a build that did not get IPS by 15. With that said, my personal preference would be to drop the rogue levels and just go 10 WLK/9 FTR/1 Wiz. Evasion and trapping are nice but they are not a MUST HAVE in my book.

For any iconic/heroic combos that do not involve the default class as the primary class, that is probably how I would build them. I would even consider 9 Ranger (evasion and same BAB) over 9 fighter if the feats work out because deep wood stalker is such a great tree to compliment inquis.

Definitely depends on the goal or plan. I have been finishing out my iconics that I cherry picked and getting the new epl. So I basically run 15-30, then 20-30, and this set of lives 20-30 again.

So if running 1-20 yeah that’s late to get ips. 15-30 isn’t bad going 3 levels without it, but not ideal. But if doing 35 levels you won’t even remember the first 3 usually

Here's what I'd go with - its almost totally agnostic to your starting class/race and has the whole package by 15, with enough to carry you through easily to 30. The only variable is having enough starting INT to hold up trapping, if that's something you're concerned with.

11 Rgr/2 Arti/1 base class, rest of levels dealer's choice (+3 Rgr for FoM, +4 Arti for INT to dmg buff, or base class if there's something useful, ie +4 ML for Domain Displ SLA )

41 Inqui 12 Harp 27 DWS (4 points from DWS can flex elsewhere)

Feats: PBS Precision IC:R Emp Heal Quicken Ins Refl. You'll have IPS autogranted by L14. PDK, or 4 Arti, will give you a bonus feat, which means you can pick up Dodge and Mob at 18

Gear: usual Sharn goodies etc. + Ratty

    Skills: UMD, Trapping, Spot, Heal

Play: Sniper Shot and pewpew, kite and Evade and CMW spot-heal when not in Reaper.
