cant log in on a new toon created on the Hardcore server yesterday.. still locks up on loading today.

I am still unable to log into any characters as of 21:50 Eastern.

anyhoo, can't login to a character on Hardcore, or even queue for Sarlona. It appears much worse that yesterday. I'm guessing it appears to resolve the issue for some folks is that server load is down because nobody can login??
oh well, I needed to take a night off.

1. Dungeons and Dragons tabletop has always had a complex combat system - I would expect nothing less.
2. You're preaching to the choir. I do like this game, otherwise I wouldn't take the time to critique it and point out to the company how disappointing it is that they aren't doing more to make this game as good as reliable, efficient, and quality a game as it should be. If at any point I gave the impression that I disliked the game concepts- then I apologize.
3. Many people love NASA too - but when they make mistakes and cost taxpayers hundreds of millions of dollars - you think we should cut them slack because they have successfully put some satellites in space? No - we pressure them so that the mistakes stop and we can focus on the importance of space exploration.
The consistent headaches:
Several Patch update complications that effect the majority of users negatively
Numerous bugs that go unanswered
Numerous bugs that are "fixed" until....they become buggy again
Numerous customer dissatisfaction that go unanswered.
Several customers that enable SSG to behave this way by not insisting change
Poor and lazy programming that effects paying customers - One of the many examples of this being that when I reincarnated I lost an entire bank of 20 that I paid for with a healthy amount of DDO points (not the favor reward).
Several of the issues I listed earlier
All that said...if a complex combat system makes up for all of this stuff - then I'm happy for you. I still stand by my post.
P.S. Still can't play event because undead won't spawn - and why they started an event where I have to exit re-enter and reexit again a quest with 12 enemies in the hopes of getting a key is only furthering my point...
P.S.S. If you need another fun programming example: In Cannith Manufactory - or whatever it's called. The quest requirement in Korthos prior to MP, it is a common enough occurrence to break the crystals only to have the machines block the tunnel that leads to the end thereby forcing the player to recall and do all over again = lazy programming. Isn't Korthos like the first adventures they built and how old is this game?
P.S.S.S. how often have the kobold challenges been broken or entirely too frustrating? How old are they?
Again - let me reiterate - other companies do not have these problems and if they do - they tend to be isolated and fixed quickly. And if not, it stands out as a funny little thing about the game BECAUSE they take good care of the game in general.

For me doing a full system reboot lets me log on to Thelanis on one toon... Still is a PITA...
