    Apple is notorious for not supporting legacy systems, just one of the many reasons I would never own an Apple product. Back when they changed daylight savings time Microsoft provided update for all Windows versions. Apple told you to upgrade the OS.

    Yeah, I'd been offline all day and was looking forward to hitting 20 on a character tonight; instead, I'm sitting at the loading screen after character select.

    Try a reboot, worked for me but I know better than to claim a fix based on a single data point.

    I think someone twiddled with the network code when they should have twaddled. It's very flaky for me.

    I haven't been able to login into the hardcore server since the restart earlier today. I'm back playing on normal server now :P

    You're missing the point. Between here and the LOTRO forums, the conversation has went like this for two years:

    MacUsers: "Hey Apple just announced in a year or two that they're going cancel 32 bit support, are you going to have a 64 bit update for us?"
    SSG: "We've got you dude!"
    *macOS Mojave releases
    MacUsers: "So, they didn't get rid of 32 bit support this year. Are you going to have the 64 bit client ready for next year?"
    SSG: "We've got you dude!"
    *macOS Catalina releases
    SSG: "DDO will no longer run on new releases of macOS."

    Not experiencing lag but the load time between instances is off the chart.
    Wnated to get a bit of time on the HC server but it's a bit scary right now.

    good to know i'm not the only one stuck at eternal load screen, whatever was supposed to be fixed from these restarts has broken even worse, because the game worked fine the previous day, now it just flat out doesn't work at all.

    I suggest doing a System Recovery to back to September, then leave it alone until you actually test the updates.

    That worked for me, but to be clear for testing purposes:

    If you're on Win10, just a restart isn't sufficient. Do a full shut-down and reboot.

    No, I thought it was fixed after a cold start also but that was one time. Logged out and back to hanging on game load. Updating one of my other computers to confirm it is a server side issue.

    Tried this, no joy. another 15 damned minutes waiting after character selection and still not in. Whatever the hell they broke they broke it damned good.

    Maybe they should try testing this on an internal server before releasing these patches to the wild, gonna guess they will try another "maybe a reboot will fix it" move in the morning when they get in. Also gonna guess that won't do squat.

    Completed the update on a different computer and have the same issue, this is a server side issue or the client update has issues.

    Do the devs this the last restart fixed the issue after the patch in the morning?...because it didn't.

    Is someone going to fix this load screen nonsense?

    Now that I am in game I cant interact with anything. This is ridiculous.

    How does cancelling VIP work?

    I did it just for Hardcore and paid 30 bucks for the first three months. If I cancel it now, do I keep the VIP until the 3 months or does it just end as soon as you cancel? I signed up for it late August and don't want to pay for a game that doesn't work correctly Past Nov 15th when the event ends. This was my first time VIP and I liked it but I think free to play is the way to go for me. This game is too inconsistent for me to pay money for on a monthly basis.

    After the restart last night, it took forever for screen to pop up to enter a quest or wilderness area. Lag was bad also. Now I can get as far as choosing my server, but then a load screen doesnt move. I let it sit for abt 20 mins this last time, and tried different servers with the same results. I'm normally on Khyber
