Ravenloft vs Masterminds of Sharn, which to buy first

First of all I am Premium player do not play with VIP. I do have Shadowfell and MOTU already. I do have some spare TP, and was wondering which pack has more value? I heard Ravenloft has some good gear, that ppl tend to run 10-20, since I mostly run random loot + some named items, I was considering to buy it first. I know MoS do have some up to date gear too. I do have Slavelords and Vale to, but was never into those crafting system.

I personally still consider Ravenloft the better expansion. The gear is at least on par, and two important items (a strong weapon at level ten and a sentient weapon gem at level 20) get handed out to you for free just for talking to an NPC. I personally also find the quests to be a hair better (though which you enjoy more will likely come down to which setting appeals to you as much as anything, both are very solid).

Sharn has got the best gear for 15+ right now by a good margin, so I'd recommend that. Especially if you already have good weapons for your build, since one of the big draws for RL is the freebie Barovian weapons. The RL sets are still good, but Slavers can fill that gap to a certain extent, and you're mostly building your RL sets around your Sharn sets now (with Slavers or CC to fill the rest)

You want to get both, they each have the best gear for their levels.
If you are choosing one though, I would go with Ravenloft first.
The gear will carry you well over more levels towards epics and you can't beat the atmosphere.

Wait till black Friday/cyber Monday and buy them both at once.
Main time they are on sale for sure from the ddo market then.

Unless you are doing the points from the store, then whatever.

Ravenloft has much better quests and for gear, Ravenloft has sentient weapons which is much more important than artifacts.

Ravenloft end game gear is pretty even with Sharn. Better for some builds. Not as good for others. I wear Sharn heroic gear during Epic leveling, but honestly Ravenloft ML 10 gear isn’t all that far behind.

The biggest factor is or is that I find Ravenloft quests to be a ton of fun while many (not all) Sharn quests are annoying as heck.

If you are struggling on DP, may I suggest that you get them both on Black Friday, after XMas, or after New Years sale?
If I were you though, I would get the Ravenloft pack first. You cannot pass on the sentient weapons stuff and the free gem.
Sharn quests are painful and annoying at best.

I also vote Ravenloft. You can wear the gear from 10 to 30 (though if you get the epic gear you can put that on at level 29) and the quests are fun with free weapons being given out each life.

RL = better quests.

Sharn = better gear.

Sharn's still good, but RL is a masterpiece.

Hm, not sure I get it right. Is it like for sure they are going be for sale this year Black Friday? Those are new packs, don't expect to see them on sale soon, Sharm especially. That would be nice, I'll take Sharm than.
Upd. rechecked and saw 50% RL discount on BF 2018, looks like I missed it than.

I am 100% sure that the DDO Market will put all the expansions on sale on Black Friday/Cyber Monday weekend.
However this requires real money, not in game currency.
I am not sure how much the reduction will be, but I am guessing reduced by 1/3.

I have an alt account VIP only that I am waiting till them to consider the expansions.

Wife and I just finished both, Sharn is beautiful and creative but they really knocked it out of the park with Ravenloft.

Do them in order. We just finished Sharn and are running our alts back through Ravenloft.

Perhaps the great competition from the rest of the world?
Perhaps more splash advertising by DDO would be appropriate this year?
