How much Astral shards are they worth today?

Without being flippant the answer is simple and has 2 parts - whatever the market will bear, and a lot depends on how fast you want to sell.

Double-slots are beyond rare - they simply don't drop any more, so if someone wants one, people like yourself are the ONLY source. For you to get "full value", it will take an equally rare customer. If that customer is a new player and not VIP, they may not even have bought Astral Shards, and only have Platinum - even if they were willing to give you "all they had" (VERY expensive to them!), it would not be a good deal for you.

So you want(!) to find a buyer who has lots of shards and is willing to throw them at you to get what they want.

Is such a person looking this week? This month? That's the second part of the "value" equation. You can ask for a high price, and start to lower it every week, but chances are the person looking for it isn't in the market at that exact same time, and "half price" doesn't matter if no one near your price range is in the market - and, remember, those buyers are almost as rare as the item.


So, where does that leave you? I'd say to take a look at the ASE, and see what "stupid high prices" are for some of the rare items there. Start with your asking price in that range, and don't be in a hurry to lower it if no one snaps it up in the first 72 hours (keep reposting at the same price), lowering it only every now and then (and, again, that depends how fast you want to sell these!).

Also, post in the forums re your asking price, just to advertise and reach more buyers. Maybe someone will make a "reasonable" offer that will work for both of you.
