Looking for a fast TR machine

Hello there!

I have heard that running a fire sorc is the way to go for speed TRing. I talked to a few buddies online that swear by them. I currently play a monk that is pretty much geared for end game, so i dont know where to start with a fire sorc. I have read strimtoms build, but i am not exactly sure when and where to spend ap points and how i should invest in 1-20 gear outside of fire lore. So in general, i am very noobish to sorc. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Im just looking to knock out 5 or 6 more racials.

A fire-sorc Tiefling is where the exceptional synergy comes in. If not Tiefling, then fire or elec (air) are about a toss up. (If you have Dragonborn, you can get some synergy there, too - one example below.)

I also normally run a monk and I gotta say, Tiefling + Fire sorc is so OP it is not even funny (although it is stupid fun). It is also much much faster when soloing by a factor of at least 3.

The gist is Improved Scorch Tiefling racial enhancement that removes Fire resistance, so basically everything becomes nukeable with AoE after the initial scorch hit. The downside is you need 16 odd AP, but you can use racial AP. Even on a third life toon with only two wix past lives, you can kill basically everything with the right twink gear. AFAICT there is no similar "remove all resistance on the first hit" until level 20 otherwise when you pick up elemental forms.

I'm at level 14 now and sitting at around 360 odd SP for fire and elec. I took PL:wiz, extend, enlarge, maximize, empower and will pick up SF:Evo and Heighten, I haven't needed quicken so far.

I hear ya. I think we have actually pugged in raid together. I love my monk, but getting through racial past lives has become a chore. Maybe i just need a break. Lol. In all seriousness, a few of my buddies run one and swear by it. I am just so used to my monk.. its hard to pull the trigger.

Maybe ill create one from scratch to learn with. Hmmm

Today and tomorrow (25th) are last days for Vet 3, Level 10 starters. Perfect for what you're talking about.

Maybe even on a diff Server if you are tight on open slots - it's just for experimenting (and maybe grabbing a quick couple-hundred favor for DP).
