umm, the items are irrelevant by today's loot standard. hardly worth more than what the shopkeeper offers for them.

relevance is a subjective term. I need them, and I'm willing to pay more than vendor trash for them. I realize they are pointless items now, which is partly the reason I have to come here. So pointless, i have to rely on random luck on making a party to hope I get it as a prize, or hope I can buy one here, cause as you said, they aren't even worth putting on the auction. And making parties at this low a level where these items are still good...suuuucks.
