Hello everyone,
I'm not sure if this is the appropriate place to post something like this (or even if the topic itself is appropriate), but I felt the need to do so. Though grateful Hurricane Dorian is curving out to sea from the east coast of the US as of this posting, I know all-too well the disastrous effects of weather. Living on the east coast central Florida side, it can be a real pain. People are panicking. Water is hard to find. Gas is practically non-existent in some areas. Finding my way to DDO in the midst of all this chaos has soothed me to some degree. You may find that stupid or irresponsible of me... but I don't. It helps. Not to say a mere game compares with these harsh realities, but I wanted to say thank you to all on Ghallanda who have grouped with me in the last couple of days. As long as I have electrical power and the interwebs a-goin', I plan to dive into the wonderful world of DDO when I can.
Additionally, Hurricane Irma was a real PITA not long ago. People underestimated it. This is the chief reason I wanted to post this. I'm sure most of you are preparing if you live near the east coast, but please be safe out there. Don't take any chances. There are shelters out there if you need them.
If you are nowhere near the hurricanes, count your blessings. Be grateful we have the fine folks at SSG continually giving us a quality game. It may have its flaws, but I sincerely believe DDO is the best mmo which meets my gaming needs. Thank you for your time
