Yes, thank you for Crystal Cove. I meet some of the nicest people during Cove and Mabar. People that otherwise rarely leave their static groups or play outside their guilds... Oh wait, that's me too.

I completely missed it for the last few times, but I'm glad to see the number of gems trimmed down.

Now if only there was a way to farm for the higher-level items as a low-level (similar to Night Revels), that would be perfect.

Can't farm for the level 28 items if I'm stuck at level 4.
Just a random, forgettable NPC doing things an NPC does
Things that NPCs do include, but are not limited to:

Having a gold goblet over my head to indicate availability of a quest
Having a catchphrase that never really catches on
Having various rewards that are generally not worth the trouble
    Wandering around randomly
Giving out obvious information if it wasn't obvious enough
Repeating the same lines over and over again
Repeating the same lines over and over again

My wife wanted to make sure I posted our thanks as well. She really enjoys these communal type events in CC and Mabar. We always loved the Spectral Dragons runs. Only had occasional issues with lag in groups. Sad that that quest had to dropped due to issues, it was a great way to connect with other players on the server.

I had the exact opposite problem : I couldn't get any items for my lowest level characters, because I did the event only with higher level characters. I totally missed the information that for my lowest level chars I would have had to play the event with them to get their items. In the end, I was angry because did not have any Pyrite (and no Alabaster, too). These don't drop for higher level chars.
"You are a Tiefling. And a Cleric, with the Domain of the Sun. Doesn't that contradict each other ?" "No, all my friends are playing evil. I found that so boring that I decided to be on the good side. And, besides, Sun and Fire, where is the difference, really ?"

Iirc, you mentioned this in another thread, and it was responded to there. Gems allow a trade-down (just not a trade-up). Pyrite is easy* to get that way - if a loooooong, slooooooow process from Jaspers.

(* Half the gems require a (single) 3:1 trade down at some point, but never more than once. Jaspers -> Opals @ 1:1, then Opals -> Malachites @ 3:1, then 1:1 from there out on down that line.)

Basically I run a level 30 toon at max. level to get the most greens. The gems just follow and you can trade all the way down. The Green Dragonshards are the most valuable. Pine hard for those greens and the rest is a piece of cake.

Is is over? If not, how do I even get to crystal cove? I haven't done the event in over 3 years and have forgotten how to get to it.
Veriden, Orien server: Lost count of lives. 3 of all base classes, 3 halfling, 2 gnome...working on trying to make the game work again. May or may not return.

Yes, last weekend. It was in all the newspapers.

There's an NPC on the northern docks in The Harbor, near Arachnophobia.

When in doubt, the Wiki is your fastest bet -
