Favor Tracking Spreadsheet

Thank you so much for the spreadsheet! I use it constantly.

I've updated the spreadsheet with the new quests from U53 and U54 to help people track favor in preparation for HCL 6.

Thanks for posting this. Hope this gets updated continuously.

It was a while ago so I don't remember what I had to change, but I remember it was pretty substantial. I also added some additional info.

I can't even see what you changed. all of my calculations are still there. the only difference I see is that you added a column that does the exact same thing as the column next to it that I already had but gets the total favor wrong.



The first line seems to add 4 to the total favor you can get for that quest, this of course screws everything that comes after....

I got bored with it after that because everything else is EXACTLY my work.

I really like how you reference lines in the header like Q2 and X2, quality work there....

2 of these have the incorrect favor amount.

I fixed those, added the epic versions of the challenges, added a current favor by patron section, updated the dropdowns to only show the relevant options, and sorted the list the same as the in game adventure compendium (1-32, Z-A with "The" not included in the sort). I also did some minor formatting.

Insult? That is not at all what happened. I just said your spreadsheet has some bugs that I had fixed. As far as my own work, yes, I used your original spreadsheet (well, I think I started iterating off of Noir's update to your original spreadsheet... updated myself since then) but updated all of the formulas and added some additional functionality. Not sure why you are getting up-in-arms about me improving your spreadsheet that you were gracious enough to share with us in the beginning (and only just now complaining about it when I have been making updates and posting them for a year and a half (same with other people also in this thread)).

The cell I highlighted that shows 10 favor, is the one that references cells in the header, this is why it is wrong and that error is propagated all the way down the sheet. I had nothing to do with this whole column, you added that and it seems to match my column "Total of non skipped" all the way down with the exception of the wrong starting amount that gets added all the way down.

Here is YOUR calculation in Q3

=IF(L3="", IF(D3<>"Solo",(F3*3)+Q2, F3+Q2), Q2)+X2

if you note, you are calling cells Q2 and X2 that are part of the header and not part of the spreadsheet proper. This is screwing something up to give you a total of 10 instead of the 6 that you should have. But don't worry, I fixed your bugs in my spreadsheet found here: Spreadsheet download

it is and if you look at the history I liked and added the corrections people brought to my attention. The wording of your post seemed pretty insulting.

Instead of calling all the other spreadsheets buggy and lacking features, you could have just pointing out how you added the epic challenges, sorted the names without the "The" at the beginning and added the 4 quests I forgot from the hunt pack and the isle of dread preview.

I have corrected all this btw, and feel free to let me know if I missed anything.

I am human and make mistakes but calling the spreadsheet I spent uncountable hours creating over the last 5 hard core seasons, buggy and lacking features, will get you a negative response. You reap what you sow.

Note how marking the challanges as 5 star doesn't change the value? It stays 6381 until you get to a line with a quest that fixes the error.

In the column "Earned" I fixed this issue by adding the calculation for the star rating in challenges. Also I think what you are trying to do is get your running total of favor you have already completed. I normally do this by looking at column O after the lowest completed quest but I can add a total of earned favor so far at the top if you like.

As I put earlier, all of my changes have been since whatever version of your spreadsheet was out a year and a half or so ago (Noir's HC 3 post is a good reference to see differences). So any calculation changes you made to the bulk of the spreadsheet since then matching up with changes I might have made are purely coincidence from me using the same bulk data source and spreadsheet program. I have only updated my edited version of it since then.

I think you are misunderstanding what the new column I added is doing. It takes your current favor and tells you (starting from the lowest quest level) what completing the next quest will put your current favor total at. So, while these values (Q) will match up with the other column (P) if you run everything exactly in order, if you say complete all of your 15s and have a collection of 18s done, the new Q column will show you what your current favor total will be at after running these lower level quests next. I found it useful as I was running HC, so I added it.

Q2 (and related ?2s) could be removed from row 3, yes, but considering Q2 is blank (and part of a merged cell) it does not interfere anyways and allows an easy resorting of the quest list if wanted to arrange the whole list differently without breaking calculations. Again, the 10 would be because you have 4 favor somewhere else in your spreadsheet (or unmerged and typed a 4 in Q2).

I added some of the features from your sheet to try and keep a single version going. I am confused as to what you are looking for in column Q so I didn't add that as I think the information is already available in column M on mine or in the new cell T1

P.S.
I think what you have in column Q is your already earned favor + the favor of the quest on the line? So X2+m3 (if you choose elite or reaper) for line 3?
