The graphics glitch, which occurs approximately after 45 mins to an hour of playing, has never been fixed. Our only recourse is to logout and log back in to fix the graphics, and that sucks... at least we don't lose all of our buffs when we do that anymore.

The Mac Client needs to be addressed once and for all; we are NOT second class players; and we pay a lot of money to play this game.

Right now, every Mac player is upset because we are all crashing on the second loading screen after login. We deserve every bit as much attention to our client as PC gamers do, but we're not getting it.

Please fix the problem that is happening after today's patch, and after that, once and for all, finish whatever needs to be finished on the Mac client so that we aren't eventually forced out of the game due to the client being no longer compatible with any fully updated Mac.
    Hear, hear.
The System Requirements page claims Macs are supported if you have at least MacOS 10.7.5, and lists minimum requirements and recommended specs. The "Oh, Macs aren't supported" emails they send out after they've accepted money from players give lie to their claims.
They should put a big warning in red letters next to their System Requirements that point out that these aren't system requirements the developers stand behind, but the minimum requirements to roll dice on the **** thing launching at all and that it's totally unsupported and that any Mac support requests will result in an email to user forums for self-help.

The fact is, they claim Macs are supported on their system requirements page <https://help.standingstonegames.com/hc/en-us/articles/115002040207-What-are-the-system-requirements-for-DDO-> and they accept money from players who trust this.

They must act accordingly. All the liability-shielding terms in the EULA vanish when the whole contract is the product of fraud.

And yes, since 7/31 it's been unplayable, utterly unplayable, with the client crashing before the character selection screen. And their reply to my support request is a link to this page so I can see that they're not helping anyone else with a Mac, either.

Default Update not working on windows 7 either

Using Windows 7 here. On launcher i am getting An update error occurred: Unknown error: 0xffffffff80043038. I tried to run as admin, to install patch without the antivirus, i repaired game data. And always that same error on the launcher. An update error occurred: Unknown error: 0xffffffff80043038. Then i have a 60 seconds retry which fails every time.

Just wanna post this before you start patching thinking the problem only happens on MAc. It does happen on Win 7 too. And everything was fine before that.

    Thank you and good luck.

PS: Same post written for today's patch.

    Default ... still?

Checked back this morning, page still states 'release notes', but going to it, all you have are the words "Project Nemesis"... was this as intended, or do you plan to have a bit more info with it?

Project Nemesis is the only thing in yesterday's patch (though there should be a short blurb about that Raid under the words "Project Nemesis" - I can see those on that page?)
We don't only build for the builds that exist.

    ... so... as intended then.

BTW.. that's a title, not a Release Note update. An update with release notes would include either technical aspects of the raid, or would include background on what the raid actually entails, and possibly what led up to its events (in a context of story). You provided none of this...

You can find these details in-game by following the details provided in the Release Notes, which I will transpose here for your convenience.

yeah, i've received the same, 'we don't support the Mac client" email from "support" twice now. tried running Beta Wine which runs beautifully considering it loads looking totally wrong graphically, retained no key mapping, and will not allow the mapping of mouse buttons. now i'm trying to reinstall the native client after it continued to crash on load but to no avail. reinstalling from the ddolive.dmg just appears to crash once downloading .dat files; the process seems to mysteriously reset it's counter of files downloaded in an endless cycle.

frankly, i find it brazenly unscrupulous not to disclose clearly on the mac/dmg download page that they DO NOT support the Mac client considering that DDO is a game with paid content they strongly hope we'll buy, and they know we must. i get that they're making a calculation to save time, money, and personnel by not supporting the least used platform, but they could at least make this abundantly clear from the get go with minimal effort. oh, and if you're gonna make a workaround client for Mac, get it working.

One might say that it is false advertising.
