    Default Screen resolution not avaliable

Ok so this may be something very simple that I am missing but I cant seem to figure it out. Currently my wife is playing with me and uses my gaming pc. The screen resolution for both the normal display settings and DDO display settings is set for 1920 x 1080. Im playing on our laptop which is somewhat older but still uses windows 10 and DX11 and everything. I set the display settings for 1920 X 1080 and am trying to do the same for DDO because I like the smaller icons and having more screen room. However the in game client doesn't give me that resolution as on option on the laptop and only goes to the 1300s. I tried manually setting the desired resolution in the preference files and loaded DDO only for it to boot with a resolution of 800 x 600 or whatever. Any ideas why the client on the laptop wont allow me to play at the resolution I would like?

I don't really know, maybe the graphics card on laptop cannot handle it.
Try running in windowed mode and drag the corners of the DDO window to fill your screen. How does that work?
    Also maybe try older directX.

I have the same issue, and it's certainly not my video card. I have a high end machine here.

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/down...s.aspx?id=8109 older Direct x 9 offline sometimes needed
https://aka.ms/vs/16/release/VC_redist.x64.exe for 64 bit systems VS C++ Framework
https://aka.ms/vs/16/release/VC_redist.x86.exe for both 64 and 32 bit systems
https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=2088631 64 bit latest dot net if this doesn't install try http://download.microsoft.com/downlo...dotnetfx35.exe 32 bit and 64 if that doesn't work try https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dot...-35-windows-10

Check bios for on board graphics versus installed graphics card. Check for video driver updates. Check computers native display resolution. Check if any installed nvidia/AMD display manager programs are doing anything.
