    Default Sharn Redeem Headache - I want full refund on 2 packs or convert to DDO points

    Last night I purchased two sharn packs so my wife and I could farm a rune arm she wants to try out.

    Neither pack was delivered. After an about an HOUR of trial and error, running to Sharn quest giver to test access, waiting around for delivery to hit both our accounts, searching the internet to find out ***?, it appears there is a redeem code I am expected to enter somewhere... we tried entering boith "digital rights" codes in the DOO store and it said they were invalid. There was no obvious "download here" button on the order form or on the invoice. That was her day off, so she wont be back online for at least another week, so late delivery might as well be useless at this point. Plus the entire experience put her off playing DDO. Why waste risking her free time again?

    I should not have to jump through hoops to get access to something I have bought. BUT IT SURE WAS CRYSTAL CLEAR ON HOW TO GIVE YOU MY MONEY. See the difference?

    Check my card, I've been spending about $100 PER DAY on two accounts here. I have sent 4 help tickets in and they are giving me the run around. For that kind of customer service boilerplate, I can take my money somewhere else.

    It's 2 Sharn packs at $39.99. I don't mind converting that to DDO points, either that or I want a full refund. The irony is I was considering updrading to the deluxe packs for the extras. LOL NO.

    I am only bringing this here to give you the opportunity to fix this before your SSG support makes it worse and costs you a customer

    UPDATE Aug 6th: About a week ago a very nice Customer Support upgraded us both to Deluxe Pacs and left clickies in our inventory that jumped us right into Sharn content with no fuss.

    When you buy an expansion via the DDO Market, it should show you the Digital Rights Code/Expansion Code (not sure exactly the wording but it looks like a typical CD key or license key from most software programs). It will also email it to you at the email address you entered during the purchase.

    All you should have to do then is go to the DDO Store in-game and click the "Redeem Code" option on the top menu. Then, in the "Coupon Code" box, cut and paste the code from the email/browser screen or type it in. (I always copy paste).

    You should be good to go immediately.

    If not, then in-game support or account support should be able to help you. This is also your first forum post, so you might not be aware that there is a Support section specifically for issues like this here in the forums. You can try there, too. But the account support is probably your best bet.

    Yah we tried that last night and it didn't work.

    Thanks guys, but at this point I just want my money back, or the funds converted to DDO points.

    Is there a dev or cs rep here on the forums to help me with this? Or is this game in maintenance mode?

    Can a mod move this to the appropriate forum so I can get a response? Or should I just cut n past it all after searching for the the right forum. Because this is so much fun!

    I could be running Vault of the Night right now, buying more astral shards, buying more DDO points, but instead I get to do this. YAY!

    500 astral shards all lonesome and looking for a home. Scoobie has sad face.

    I can find my order #s. I have found them 17 times now. SO. MUCH. FUN.

    I am not an unreasonable person (mostly) and I still love DDO.

    There is still a chance to turn these two unhappy Sharn $39 pacs into two happy Sharn $129 deluxe pacs, if someone in sales is motivated enough to walk me through the redeem nonsense.

    $260 just hanging out there, low ripe fruit. Do it for the sad blue astral shards, they want to come home with me but my card says NO.

    CS is not a fast process any more - and it's 99% likely they're not hanging out here today on what is basically a 4-day holiday weekend. Sometimes they drop by on their own time, but can't do anything until they're back at the office on the next work day.

    That said, I am 100% sure they'll make sure your purchases are completed. It just won't be immediately.

    Lastly, they'll most likely not do a refund or conversion.

    [These are my opinions based on responses I've seen on similar situations in the past. Your results may vary.]

    Okay. That's reasonable. It's a holiday, and as a Marine I'm used to working the 4th for parades and stuff. Unfun.

    I'm trading emails with someone at SSG right now (we submitted two bug reports after logging off last night). Same crew?

    That's unfortunate, when it comes to the principle of a thing, I'm like a dog with a bone.

    They will lose a customer that has spent over $4000 in the last 4 months. I just came back to DDO to get wife into gaming. We can find newer games to play.

    When I went back to the site I purchased the expansion on I was able to look at my order and the Code needed was on my order.

    And yes I expected an email and waited for it only to find that it would have been better to have instructions to go back to the purchasing site.

    Yes, it's a very NOT user friendly way to motivate customers to never mess with purchasing from you again. As seen by the number of threads on Google I found complaining about the same problem.

    DDO store I have no problem, they make it very easy to click a button, give them money, get your purchase immediately.

    This is stupid. Why hasn't it been fixed.

    I love this thread, every post is golden.

    But for the OP, maybe it is your partner trying to tell you she is not having as much fun playing DDO as you have?

    You guys are extrapolating too far back. I came back from a 4-5 year break (after HeWho Shant BeNamed nerfed all the icy festival loot and ruined my parked toons and gear
    ...a min level 4 longbow Holy2 PureGood1 Ice1 ...now 9th level vendor trash AAAGH!). Anyways, both accounts were started Jan this year.

    But I just wanted to say THANK YOU TO THE ADMINS or whoever looked in on me. About a week ago my Sharn packages were updated to deluxe (I paid only for the difference) and both accounts had clickies in their inventory that doubleclicked us right into Sharn content without any fuss. Thank you very much and I am a very happy customer again. And I will pay closer attention next time.

    I think that definitely qualifies as a whale. He should probably have a personal SSG assistant to aid in entering a code if this is the case.
