Returning to the game, need help locating a solo monk build.

Hello everybody,

Are there any good solo monk builds out there that I could roll with? I’ve been out for3 years so I’m thoroughly uneducated with what the current monk meta is. Are handwrap monks viable for solo play? Or would a bow based monk build be better for solo play currently?

I have access to all classes and am on a halfling life currently. If anybody could point me in the direction of a viable monk build to roll with I would be incredibly grateful.

A bit outdated with all the monk nerfs, new gear from sharn, new Falc tree, but I think still a pretty good template to base things off.

Monk itself is still viable, but a lot weaker than before - trade that for powercreep from gear and enhancement trees.

Basically, if you go Wisdom based, shintao capstone, falconry for stance and helpless damage, feats for whirlwind, 2wf chain, stunning fist, you cant really go wrong - its all gear and game knowledge otherwise.

Is that the halfling monk build you got from me in 2015 you have been gone long how it run back then? Well like the guy above said I do like the wisdom based Falcon build I am running one now matter of fact you can find it near the bottom of my thread I think it is 3rd from the bottom have to say loving that mass blinding att then spinning kick in the middle for all that helpless damage

That build was awesome! I used it to level to 20 to get a monk life. I'll have to check out your falcon build because you haven't steered me wrong so far.

If you're thinking of an end-game build, be aware that there is now also an option for Racial Reincarnation at Level 20(+).
