Default Fetters of the Forgewraith vs Duality

I am interested to hear peoples thoughts.

It seams fetters has 2 less dmg 5 vs 7
Fetters has 10d6 fire and if you quell 10d6 evil vs. Duality 9d6 Evil and 9d6 Axiomatic
Fetters has Improved Destruction Vs Duality Has Vamp 4
Fetters adds vulnerability stacks and Duality gives Enhanced Ki 3
Fetters has Cursed Maelstrom vs Impact V

    What does the community think?

What does fetters mean here ? Sorry, English isn't my first language and I don't understand this word, even after using a dictionary.
"You are a Tiefling. And a Cleric, with the Domain of the Sun. Doesn't that contradict each other ?" "No, all my friends are playing evil. I found that so boring that I decided to be on the good side. And, besides, Sun and Fire, where is the difference, really ?"

One dropped for me tonight (on my clr ofc) and a guildie looted it. I believe he fully upgraded it and at first glance he seemed to think it was going to be less dps. I'll see if I can get him to post tomorrow

A fetter is a shackle or chain, usually around the feet or ankles. Fetters of the Forgewraith is a named item that drops in the 1st Sharn raid. https://ddowiki.com/page/Fetters_of_Unreality is the vulnerability effect found on some named items.

So in English language usage, a "fetter of" something would mean a chain, or bond, or link to the "of" named. Typically a negative effect. A negative, debilitating quality of Unreality, or of the Forgewraith, etc...

For example, "His movement was fettered by the deep marsh." "His mind clouded with the fetters of old memories, he was unaware of his surroundings"

Duality. As long as i don't know how to make up the enhanced ki +3.
I haven't played sharn much, but what items in what slot offer enhanced ki if there are any at all?

Would there be balance without duality or would one have no need for it anymore?
    Can there be answers without?
Can one be while the whole is none.

Thank you very much ! Finally this case is solved !

Okay, I understand some things better now .. Then the Star Wars name of Boba Fett has gotten a nice new twist in meaning for me as well ...

("Fett" means in German language simply "fat".)

As one of the only three people on my server (to the best of my knowledge) who have these wraps so far, combined with mine being fully upgraded, I can tell you that Fetters are unequivocally better than Duality. My only wish for them (and other weapons) being the trigger rate on Maelstrom increased a bit.

Don't let the lower damage dice scare you away from the trial by fire it takes to acquire them. They're worth the trip.

not sure what server you are on. I got my set (with mythic 2) last night and i'm still not convinced. I still need to upgrade them and get another gem maxed to test them. But at the moment I will be probably using them swap-able with duality just when I need the debuffs they provide. Would REALLY LOVE the glow effect made Glamorable.

You must be the fourth that I heard about after I posted that comment. Nice, glad they're getting out there. Now we just need to get all of us in the same group to see the debuffs stacking together. As is, I don't think Maelstrom triggers often enough.

Agreed on the Glamer functionality, that'd be great.

Love them and the raid belt, upgrading cost a bit.

Can you be more specific? What makes them better? From what I’ve seen the debuff doesn’t proc a ton and isn’t that great.

Still waiting on an answer here. Are the new raid wraps better, or are there not enough monks that have them and upgraded them (cuz yeah they shouldn’t need to be upgraded to tell if they are better. Thanks devs. ) other than the cool graphic that can’t be mirrored, is there any reason to switch for a fallen aasmir?
