My main is currently an assassin and has a good assortment of daggers for different situations. But there are two niches I'd like see new gear fill for dagger users, one general and one for assassins specifically.
1. A dagger that does blunt damage, preferably made of a non-corroding material, and with a red augment slot for use against oozes and rust monsters. Some useful additional damage types for these creatures and a decent base damage rating would put this item ahead of our current options for this purpose.
2. A dagger with DC boosts to assassination (enhancement and insightful). This could be used in the off hand to complement a sentient weapon boosting our DC through stat increases and/or set bonuses. Such an item would also get those DC boosting effects out of our congested non weapon slots making gearing at cap less painful than it is now.
Both heroic and epic (preferably for cap) versions of these items could be useful. If anyone has suggestions about other weapons they'd like to see (daggers or otherwise) or constructive criticism of the above ideas, you're welcome to post it here.
