    Default Drop a bag into a bag, alias bag-merger.

    Just a query if dropping a bag into another bag is reasonably implementable.

    Let's say I have 11 large green bags , I go buy a bigger green bag, this means that all those items would needed to be manually transferred. I have a feeling if this is synced with the servers, not only a player hassle but also a performance issue. ( hundreds of tiny requests instead of a large one)

    Thoughts?

    The way the bag system works would make a theoretical bag-in-a-bag scenario risky, particularly in regard to lost items. An engineer would better answer the difficulty of doing this kind of change, but even if it were possible, there may be other concerns.

    Everyone knows putting bags in bags causes a tessellated cascade collapse and a giant tear in the fabric of spacetime. That's like Bags 101, come on.

    Dropping bags into the shared ingredient storage works fine, so this idea would be just like that. But, hopefully not for dropping a bag icon onto another bag icon (which currently swaps inventory positions). If they do this, I hope it requires dragging a bag icon into another bag's opened interface or I'll be accidentally swapping bagged ingredients every day.

    Perhaps a caffeinated kobold with a suggestion, camouflage spell and haste as well as the two components, one in either hand, and the promise of unimaginable glory when they are combined but only where the enemy stands? Guided kobold of mass destruction...

    Magic The Gathering had a solution about this one, called the Goblin Grenade.

    I love the quote though: "I don't suppose we could teach them to throw the cursed things?"

    The question is, of course, rhetorical - you couldn't, because it would mean one less exploded goblin, and that would be the REAL loss.

    I made a mistake, I actually meant to merge the bag's contents, not the bags themselves as a containers.

    A = large bag
    B = colossal bag

    The flow could be similar to:

    1. drag A over B
    2. popup to confirm if we wish to auto transfer contents of A into B
    3. if B has empty slots > A's contents, perform the transfer. (a progress bar indicator might be needed to signal the player the merger will take some time, also place for a double opt-in if desired)
    4. if B has less slots, either a graceful error-out telling the player, or offering a partial fill dialog option

    PS:
    I started doing this manually, so far about 1.5 hours in, and I estimate another 1 hour or so. Sure, I could be less of a slowpoke I guess . Dragging out usually 1-2 tabs, then using auto collect on the bigger one.

    Good hint about the crafting storage, I'll try that one next time.

    I accept this suggestion and believe in it full-heartedly. Additionally, I believe it should have a 99.99% failure rate, and when it fails it makes a nuclear explosion (with added sound effect, "Leroy Jenkins" perhaps?)that deals 9999999 "Nani!!!???" -typed damage to the user.
