Default Neverwinter Nights: Enhanced Edition. Character Building....

Probably going to pick up NWN:Enhanced in the Steam sale (at £3 it would be rude not to :P ) and then it hit me...

I can't remember how to build a "normal" D&D character.

Loaded up the original version of NWN and sat looking at the character creation screen while going "Wibble".

So I have two questions if people would be so kind:

1: Does TWF (and ITWF/GTWF) apply to Monks fighting unarmed?

2: Does anyone else have issues creating a "normal" character n other D&D games??!

    oh...actually I have three questions...

3: Didn't there use to be a "Other D&D Games" forum?

    Cheers

No, that's a DDO-specific innovation / house rule. That's where Flurry of Blows comes in: "Monks receive an extra attack per round when fighting with unarmed attacks or a kama. However, all attacks in that round suffer a -2 attack penalty." There were other unarmed-specific feats you could take like Circle Kick: "If the character succeeds in hitting an opponent with an unarmed attack, that character gets an additional free attack against another, nearby enemy."

A TWF monk using kamas gets an extra attack per round courtesy of FoB but doesn't benefit from other unarmed-only feats like Circle Kick.

lol I came from DDO from NWN 1/2 so there was a huge adjustment period as I got used to the differences. Now I have the opposite problem; I played Pathfinder Kingmaker recently and I had to relearn how 3E works in a different game.

    Thanks for the info

Played a bit last night. Nice to be going at a rather more sedate pace

There are several search engines where META builds can be found for NWN, some going back to 2002-2003. They all work on servers which were ported to Steam. I have been playing several lately.
