High Lords will host Killing Time teaching raid on Saturday, May 18 at 9pm ET!

Our last teaching raid Riding the Storm out had an awesome turnout with 7 signups that included 5 first-timers and some newcomers to our teaching raids! RSO can be a challenging raid, but we showed that with a little preparation and organization this can be a very smooth raid. Next in our teaching raid series will be the sequel to RSO with Killing Time on Saturday, May 18 at 9pm ET!

All events in this series are for players new(er) to raiding or players who are looking to learn raids better. First timers welcome! Please have sound and be willing and able to follow instructions.

The goal is to welcome newer players into the raiding scene, to teach people how raids work, to get players more comfortable with raids and to enhance the Sarlona community. There is no level cap for any of our teaching raids but you must be at least level 28 to enter Killing Time.

If you are new to Killing Time, there is no flagging required! You will need to have access to the Dragonblood Prophecy adventure pack.

There are a few things you should do to prepare for the raid:

1. You must have Feather Fall. There are many long jumps in this raid that are impossible to make without Feather Fall. If you cannot fit a feather fall item into your gear set, you can use a level 4 augment Topaz of Feather fall, which can be purchased from Lahar, the epic vendor in The Twelve for 20 Tokens of the Twelve or from collectables traders Kipling Vranch or Peta Flashpin in the Market for 8 astral shards. 2. You must bring Potions of Remove Curse

3. You must have electrical damage absorption. The blue dracolich boss hits hard with electrical attacks. To mitigate the electrical damage, you can use abilities like Energy Sheathe (electric version), which you can twist from Draconic Incarnation. Or you can use a 4-piece sentient weapon Electrocution filigree set for a permanent electric Energy Sheath effect. You can also use electrical absorption items, which are helpful to have in addition to Energy Sheath. You can craft absorption items using Cannith Crafting or you can find randomly generated items with the descriptors "Electricity Absorption" or "Insulated". You can also use named items such as Ring of the Djinn, Prismatic Cloak or the new Legendary Ring of Flickering Steel from Update 41's Lost at Sea. We had 5 signups, including 3 first timers for our Killing Time teaching raid. You can watch the replay of the live stream on my Twitch channel vooduspyce. We also had a newcomer to our teaching raids, which is great. Now that we're in the second half of the season and we're repeating raids that we did earlier in the winter, the graduates from the first half have moved on and we're hoping to see some new faces join us in the weeks to come. We still have about 6 weeks of teaching raids to go in our 2019 teaching raid series!

Next week's teaching raid will be a double feature in Ravenloft with Old Baba's Hut and The Curse of Strahd, so get flagged and I'll post details in the Sarlona forum soon.

After Baba and Strahd, the remaining teaching raid events for the 2019 teaching raid series, in no particular order, will be:

• Caught in the Web
• Hound of Xoriat (heroic and legendary)
• Mark of Death and Fall of Truth
• Defiler of the Just

We may or may not be teaching the new Sharn raids as teaching raids at the end, it depends on whether or not we can learn them well enough as a guild to teach others in time
