Default Dc100 proc weapons from killing time.

It doesnt seem to long ago that Killing time was released and the dc of 100 on procs. it was a bit sketchy then but I think they will be close to useless now with the raised saves unfortunetly. I am a bit disturbed by it since it does take a bit of grinding to get them with schisms and such. A good example would be the Soul Stealing proc
On hit, Blackrazor can attempt to steal the Soul of a non-boss monster (DC 100 Phantasmal Killer vs Will negates, no effect vs mobs at 10,000 or more HP)
what will it actually actually work on?
    Then we got the
The Crash of the Waves: On Harmful Spellcast, you have a small chance of locking an enemy in a frozen block of ice. DC 100.
    and
Legendary Freezing Ice proc (DC 100)
wich are more or less the same. But here you upgrade Leopards chill with a 5% chance to freeze (no save? unsure in all honesty, it seemed to proc more) on each hand if dualwielding, to a ?% chance proc on one hand with a dc of 100(fort save?).
it´s sort of a sidegrade to the leopards chill at that point. leopards might even be better just to keep in offhand for procs if you hit often enough.

there are probably a lot more weapons out there, like the tornado with 90 saves. not sure how it works and if it is a save on each hit though.

I think it is way to early for these weapons to be forgotten. most people have not even gathered materials for one of the schism weapons yet.

Even if these weapons will not get changed, I sugest not making Dc saves on procs in the future. if you want a lower chance for it to proc just lower it. 1 in 20 to have a 1 in 20 chance is kinda low.

    Lol, ikr?

Spend months to aquire the means to upgrade an item that should have lived up to it's reputation from the get go, in a system that is absolutely no fun, made worse due to the low droprate, only to see it made useless in the next update.

Another knife in the back of the dedicated players.

I wonder if they knew this before hand and were laughing their asses of when people complained about the lackluster base weapons and low schism droprate.
Schisms that used to be the primairy driving force for many to run the raid, meaning that attendence for it will drop too.
Wich should really hamper late commers and people grinding favor.
Doesn't this lead to frustrated players?
And we also have another wasted slot in our bags and banks

I wonder if devs think about the impact of these things.

Maybe they can introduce a series of new, progressive Stone of Change upgrade recipes that add +1 DC (or -1 monster saves vs. weapon effects) to weapons and require Schisms. That way you can keep grinding raids to upgrade your weapon and keep pace with enemy saves

How much have the saves gone up in Sharn? Is it only in the Sharn area, or across the board?

    No!

i still know people who run this 2-3 times a week to get those shards for their first weapon, punishing them further is a bum deal.
especially now that very little capable people are running it outside of private channels.
interest will also drop of now that sharn will go live.

I didnt mean to sound like too whiny. I just think there got to be a better way to handle strong procs such as guardbreaking, freezing ice, knockdowns and intstant kills. it´s fun abilities where you see something happen.
Putting a dc on procs makes it obsolete entirely with new content or even a few skulls in reaper. the HP limit on things like vorpal i have never liked either, it is just erasing the chance of it ever happening. realy strong procs need a lower proc chance, that is all in my opinion.

yes. This type of effects should have a low percentage of triggering, independent of DC. The DC has never helped much to the viability of this type of weapons.

although it is worrisome that the DCs become obsolete in the course of such a short space of time. That says a lot about the excessive inflation of numbers we are having.
