    Default Sharn Fortification Bypass for Regular Mobs

    Over the last few days I've been doing some testing on fortification bypass for Sharn mobs (non-champs) due to noticing being crit through my fortification when running the new quests on high reaper.

    All tests were conducted on R1 (so as to prove that it is not restricted to high reaper), and all champs were pruned from the pack before testing.

    With 546% fortification, I was crit by a standard mob.


    Then when using memento (which currently gives 10,000 fortification rather than the intended 100), I was still crit by a standard non-champ mob.


    Is this working as intended? I'm aware that Sharn is supposed to be a tier higher in terms of difficulty but having regular mobs bypass this much fortification causes the stat to feel completely obsolete in this content.

    Wow, they break 500+ fort? I thought i was overdoing it with around 300 fortrification

    Nice, even less incentive to play a frontline melee
    Between the dev responces on melee in general and lackluster melee gear lately, the treatment of melee in general and the extremely poor treatment of the melee reaper trees, i wonder if this is, to put it bluntly, incompetence, neglegence or spitefull behaviour from the dev team.

    If this information is correct, it's another good reason not to buy this expansion.

    Hey op? Arix?
    Your toon looks like a beefy tank, what's your ac and how large is the chance your ac is negating far more crits done to you?

    Edit: according to the wiki:

    Since Update 13, monsters with sneak attack dice are able to bypass some of the player fortification equal to monsters' Challenge Rating.

    Did they have a 400+ challenge rating?

    Found a bug in Sharn monster statting related to Fortification Bypass, should be fixed for Live release.

    The fact that some changes are necessary is not diminished by the fact that other necessary changes have not happened yet.

    Speaking of unintended features.....

    What is the reflex save for a crystal? Check this out please. I know at least the crystals in Mining for Ancient Secrets save on a reflex everytime. I guess maybe they are dodgy little guys, but its quite annoying to take these down on a caster without disintegrate.
