    Same thing here, gets to that first screen before loading characters and sandclock...in Florida, tried resetting modem...but was getting Netflix, all other websites, forums etc, so no net issues....hoping a mimic didn't eat my account, would be sad

    Reporting the same Problem from Europe. ^_°

    Finally managed to log in with one character, but trying to log out and switch to another.... sandclock, freeze. After that I am not unable to log in again.

    Just couldn't log in at all. The Launcher seemed to work just fine, but then - waiting screen ... (Europe)

    Edit : Time to read the "Mimic hunt" article in the Wiki ...

    I'm also getting stuck on the first splash screen.

    Note to those that are also stuck on this screen, your system itself is not frozen, just the game load screen. If you are in full screen mode, this means the DDO screen will be stuck overlaying everything even if you are in a different application making the Task Manager difficult to see. You can still force close the application a few ways, but here is one way for Windows 10 users:

    1) CTRL + ALT + DEL and select Task Manager from the list
    2) Hold ALT and TAB over to the Task Manager. Take note of where DDO is on the application list, then let go of ALT
    3) Press TAB once, then press the "down" arrow the number of times DDO is on the application list. (so if it is 5th on the list, hit down 5 times. First on the list, hit down once.)
    4) Press the Delete key

    This should force close DDO allowing you to see your desktop again and get back to watching cat and broccoli videos while you wait for the Devs to fix this.

    Please get this fixed asap. Any clue what is going on or is this only affecting a very tiny portion of the customer base.....thus no attention?

    ok I think it might be a corrupted file issue.

    My co-worker was able to log into the game on his computer, we are in the same office. So I tried my account on his computer, it worked!

    So then we copied his install folder to my computer, replacing my DDO install files. It now works on my computer and I able to log in now.

    I was having the same issue, i made the mistake of going thru the repair thing. now i cant even get to login screen, just keep getting message about update error

    I'm also getting stuck at the first loading screen.

    Edited to add that I tried logging on with a 2nd computer and was able to get into the game. Logged out to change servers and now my 2nd computer is getting stuck at the first loading screen.

    Can't log in. Stuck on loading screen after choosing the server.

    Same solution for me, only in my case, two separate installs on same computer for two accounts. I just copied from the working account and overwrote the account which was not working and then was able get past the splash screen.

    Those having issues should reinstall the game for a quick fix.

    Logged in, sound was not working. Logged out and then could not log back in.

    I think it will let you log in once, but after that you are $%$&% if you log out.

    It's DDO it was about time for another outage.

    Maybe they just wanted to force people over to lamannia to check out Sharn.


    That said, glad to see the VIP bonus weekend. I just hope I can logon sometime this weekend and actually benefit from it.

    We have corrected an issue related to a third party registrar, and have been working to repropagate DNS information. Many people should have their log in or patching issues resolved at this time. If not, it may be a few hours yet as ISPs update their DNS information.

    - I am trying to re-download the game from SSG page and this is what bumped in to.

    ' Error. Page cannot be displayed. Please contact your service provider for more details. (16) '



    - Tried Steam page log in aswell and it tells :

    'An update error occured.'

    'There was an error generating the hash code for a patch file.'

    I'm one of those who it didn't work for. I'll just do something else and check back later.
    Sometimes I pull one out just to watch it die over and over. That's how much I hate hires.

    • I was playing happily this morning, but saw this error several times.

    Well, SSG was pretty decent in their apology present. Maybe they'll give us something like the anniversary "old raid lewt" gift list at some point? I was stupid enough not to take quivers for all characters...
