    Default 4 PM 4/30 Update

We have yet to be able to kick off a new build which means that we are almost certainly not opening tonight. Still hopeful for a Wednesday 5/01 preview start. Will get you an update by tomorrow morning as to whether that is still viable (possibly in the wee hours of the morning after I have had a chance to look at a build theoretically kicked off in the next few hours if that happens).

As per usual, I will post release notes when the preview opens and not before.

This is probably the best rollout I've seen in terms of community management. These quick little comments from the team really help the good feels, good job Standing Stone Games!

I'm curious to see what feedback made it to the updated version of lamania, especially the items.

I hope some of the feedback actually made it, regardless of dev bias.

Default AI vs CEO logic ;)

Love the expression, I say CEO shenanigans, you know the guy's with severance pays and top 100 (in CAnada) average 7 million a year...

beancounters: -buying a kraken for 2000shards same as earning a ship for renown (same ship unfair)
-buying tomes rather than finding them, no click menu for skill tree in store tomes... store
-making specialty hires huge and appear on you exact location (so you can't see and get killed, arrows fly willy nilly...)
    - unable to select as wizards target of spells, and failure to launch spells unless you select target, never nearest when no selection
    - when enemy selected , self heals fail... confused AI?
    - the targeting of horizon for many bard spells, then other spells hit first enemy in line of cursor... Unless blocked where hires are between character and player (obstructing view, easy to select standing at 45% from direction character facing, should never be between eyes and character)
-first person view, inside a npc, hire, pet, unacceptable, location issue, ceo chair.
-no eject able seats for CEO like politician diplomatic immunity...
-CEO have decided have oil of repair for damaged items, but no potion to apply to **** BTA items, or BTC items into BTA... (****** attributing items of other classes to a group of players, the bard should have access to bard, the wiz should access stuff he can use...ect) Who cares what BTA items are trashed for profit restrictions or just giving grief.

this is looking like a rant must call Lewis Black, and the TV show "the good place"... get some humor in illogical fantasy, fiction... turned into aggravation, for monetization.

Conclusion: I would like consideration to the character being a super hero, and not getting caught up in technical keymapping and mouse cursor issues, more auto defined logic delegating to AI. (am materially challenged with tapping unable to disable, click tap F****p

    Cool profit margins?

This could be done to see how the community responds. Alternatively, new adventure packs in existing wilderness zones could duplicate ownership/access to the zone possibly with a discount for people that have already paid for the zone by owning the original pack. Otherwise the method I spoke of in post#12 sounds reasonable.

limit to 2000% profit each programmed area until you pay only usage fee's? I hear labor is 13% of the price at grocery stores for food not fiction art.
so are the rich taxed for free to play environnement? Be transparent DDO about money, that might boost sales "sound logic".

    Default Wednesday Afternoon Update

    Hey, all!

Getting you all up to speed: Preview candidate build #2 has also failed approval. (Nailing down preview builds is always a pain). This time due to the crafting stations falling out of data and not being accessible in the least. On the bright side, most things are genuinely shaping up into a more polished state every day we end up pushing. =P

At this point we've pushed into the territory where we're planning on doing a weekend preview. Our current plan, now that it's already Wednesday is to take it slow today and get everything in order to pull a new build overnight, verify it tomorrow, and aim for a Friday 5/2 - Monday 5/5 preview schedule.

I'll let you know if this plan changes!

Can we get a pre-preview preview of the changes? Particularly the item changes (if any?)

This^, in so many words, is how you say time and feedback on Lamannia are wasted.

If this is what making an effort to improve quality control procedures feels like, I’m all for it.
