New Starter Area Or Challenges

Give us a new starter areas where Kobolds and Goblins are at war with eachother and both Kobolds and Goblins have Voice acting!

Or you could simply just give us new cannith style challenges featuring Kobolds and Goblins!

Right now, no.
Once Sharn launches, yes.

As far as a "WAR!" based starter area goes - yawn. Those tend to be dreadfully dull, story wise. And unless it's going to have woven-in ramifications put into the existing game from the beginning on down the line, which is unlikely, it would be of zero consequence. Also, totally new heroes would have little/no impact on a war like that. If it's to be done at all, I would prefer it being a mid-to-late Heroic tale. Our characters could make an actual difference, and future story lines could fold it in - making it more narratively interesting. IMHO: a War is something to build up to - not a good place to start.

I agree. That constant "war thing" was what drove me away from SWTOR into DDO again.

But ... I'm not into challenges, and - personally - I doubt Newbies would easily embrace that, too.

Especially given how dreadfully grindy the challenges tend to be.

"Welcome to the game! Here, try this challenge. Had fun? Ok, now run that challenge 150 more times and you can have a cool item you'll out-level in 6 hours."


Then again, I'd actually grind a challenge that gave you awesome lvl 1 gear.

I think it is worth noting that the existing newbie area has done a *fabulous* job in curbing abuse of third party sellers and that sort of thing.

Yeah, not exactly the topic, but it the thought was brought to mind.

Oh I agree. Having trialed quite a number of MMOs I think Korthos is fabulous; its just in dire need of an overhaul.
