Am new to the game so i am looking for a first life friendly and 28 point friendly pure barb build. Been looking on forums but do not see any that say anything about 28 points. Thanks in advance

Welcome to DDO!
There are a lot of great builders on the forums and I am not one of them. I can give you a few suggestions though.
I would go human for the extra feat.
Max Con and put the rest in Str. (any level ups in Str) A barbs best friend is hp.
First two feats are Power Attack and Cleave. After that grab great cleave, 2hfighting, improved 2h, greater 2h.
Skill points are limited so maybe jump and intim if you want.
Grab a two handed weapon. (great axe, great sword, falchion, maul)
Kill your way through Korthos. (grab a healing hireling for some help early if you need it)
The main damage dealing enhancements are from Frenzied Berserker and Ravager, but Occult has some defense.
Here are a few early goals.
FB has Blood tribute for temp hps and supreme cleave. Another cleave attack is awesome.
OS has Ear Smash and Knockout for a single target stun.
Ravager has some stat damage attacks.
You can experiment with which enhancements that fits your playstyle since they can be easily reset.
The goal is to have fun! Good luck!
ok
there is nothing wrong with the above here just going to flesh it out some.
race - of the free races for a totally new person human is really really nice. only dwarf comes close.
of the p2p aasmir and horc are both good and helf is okay like human lite you have to pay for.
its up to you, but you can max str put the rest into con or go 16 str and get some dex for saves/twf (dont recommend this as it is more advanced but an option)
for feats u want power attack. its more damage especially if you got with thf
then you get the cleaves. not mandatory but o. so. nice! that is your first 3 feats. then you want imp crit probably slashing. then you want all of the thf feats as it gives mp and better glancing blows.
finally you want stunning blow if you have the feat to spare as it gives you some cc
for enhancments you want to go with either beserk t5 or t5 ravager. beserk gives you more damage but ravager gives you self heals
good luck
Barbs got some buffs in Update 39 last summer: their damage reduction was improved and the Enhancement trees were tweaked. In particular, the DPS bonuses from tier-5 Frenzied Berserker (Focused Wrath) and Occult Slayer (Occult Metalline) were improved so they are reasonable alternatives to tier-5 Ravager's Critical Rage. For many weapon types, either of them will be better DPS than Crit Rage, which makes sense, IMO; Ravager still has the best barb self-healing (Blood Strength), it shouldn't also have the best DPS bonus.
That said, I haven't seen a lot of new pure barb builds posted since then, but the basics haven't changed, only your Enhancements might be tweaked, which can be reset at any time in public areas. This build and this one should still be fine. Dwarf gives you the option of going the max-CON-with-TYWA route or the conventional STR route; human gives you an extra feat and some nice "low-hanging fruit" in their racial tree like Melee Power Boost, +1 STR, and extra heal amp.

Thank you all your your advice I do have a subscription so the races are not a factor but, I appreciate all the support and help. It's great that there is such a good and helpful community around to help the new players.
