Two Artificer questions about mechanics

Hey everybody,

1. If I take Conjure Component from Renegade Mastermaker, I suppose I can effectively heal myself via the Curative Admixtures?

2. Regarding weapon spells and abilities, for crossbows: Strategic Combat I (from Harper tree) stacks with Insightful Damage, correct? One is to hit, other is damage. Would this also stack with Deadly Weapons infusion? One is a personal enhancement, other is a weapon enhancement. Finally, would I be able to use my own Conjured Bolts as ammunition for Flaming Arrows, or should I use stacks of regular bolts?

Yes it all stacks. Summoned bolts dont work for flaming arrows.

I've found it's best to buy wands of Flame Arrow (House J: House of Wizardry shop). That negates the needs to buy/carry regular bolts altogether and frees up a spell slot.

You have to target yourself with admixtures or else they'll go flying off into the distance. For self healing it's typically easier to use a heal scroll when they become available at 9 imo. The benefit of the admixture is when you're in a larger group, healing everyone plus pets, hirelings, w/e else with one spell, as well as hurting undead in the aoe. It isn't a huge radius tho.

Reason everyone carries flame arrow wands instead of carrying bolts and actually casting the spell is you end up accidentally shooting all your reagent bolts the first time you run out of flame bolts unexpectedly. You get tons of mileage out of each wand, 25,000 shots before you factor in that you'll retain charges quite often.

Also note that Flame Arrows (produced by wands or the spell) can be traded while in or out of a quest, if you want to add some DPS to a non-arti ranged toon in your group.
