Looking for an end game tank build that has at least decent DPS or excellent hate gen

I am currently playing a 14 fighter/5 paladin/1 wizard And have great defenses. I just don't have much DPS and don't seem to have much hate gen. SO although I can get aggro using intimidate, It can be defficult to hold aggro if there are good burst dps toons in the group. Maybe that is just the way melee S&B tanks are now, but I am hoping I can learn something new to improve upon my melee tank.

Not sure what I my hate gen is, is there an easy way to find that?

Uses primarily Bastard swords and Large shield.

Interested to see if anyone has a build for this also. I am working up a straight fighter, with stalwart defender (to41pt) and then in the Vanguard tree focusing on shield abilities.... I don't have this mapped out (not having done the math) but so far it has been working good...
