    Default Scoundrel Sorc?

Any thoughts on a Scoundrel Sorc build? Would a +1 LR be worth it or is the twist of bard of enough value? How might you build around linking fire and sonic (best of either applies)? Is it worth spending the AP in Scoundrel to get that? Any good dashing weapons for casters? Would you go Air or Fire and then EK, or go two schools like Air (full core, tier5) and Cold (one core, tier4)? Do you think the +4 possible enchantment dc is of consequence for legendary r1 content?

One question to ask yourself before you try this is: Do you like the fiddle-spellcasting sound effects and animation? Because it will be on every spell and spell-like ability. Every one, even non-Bard.
I have a Scoundrel Fey Warlock, and my fiddle shoots skulls. It's awesome, and I have head-cannon'd more with this character than I have with any in a long time. I really dig it. But, you should know that going in and decide accordingly.

I don't have any Hearts sufficient enough to get rid of the Bard level, so I don't know if doing that would also get rid of the fiddle. But, the two seem intertwined.

You keep the Fiddle cast animations even if you get rid of all your Bard levels!
We don't only build for the builds that exist.
We don't only build for the builds that are good right now.

The fact that some changes are necessary is not diminished by the fact that other necessary changes have not happened yet.

I like the wind walker leaping ability and like the mechanics of electricity targeting so I tend to go Tier 5 air, which also boosts Sonic spell power, which would boost my fire. Thinking of whether using that to scoop 3 elements would be worth doing, for example.

It replaces the whispery -voice upon casting, as well as the hand waving. So... pretty muchevery spell/spell-like. As I said, my Warlock's fiddle shoots a skull while using Consume or Stricken attacks, plays a little refrain when casting Evard's, etc.

I dig it a lot. But I can see where some folks might not and thought it was well worth mentioning.

I think it offers nothing that Tiefling doesn't.

Most Iconics aren't all that linked to their respective classes. In the case of Scoundrel, there's almost no reason to play the Iconic if you're not a Bard. Bards are the only class that uses any significant amount of Sonic damage. Bards are also the only class that can really make use of Ash Imprisonment effectively.

One big reason being that you have 3x bard PLs and are missing other heroic lives that you might want. Most of my iconic lives were hybrid splashes where the dominant class ended up being something other than the default level one class. Speaking for myself, it was MUCH faster for me to level from 15-30 and get both an iconic and heroic PL vs going 1-20 and only getting a heroic/racial life.

I rolled up a new toon to test it. Indeed does make that sound on every sorc twitch. Even if you do not equip the offhand fiddle or the fiddle quiver, still does makes the sound just no graphic. Imagine if there were two or more in a party. I cannot even do a bard life like that. I'm very glad I asked before it was too late for my main toon.

Maybe a heavy squashbuckler melee focus with virtuoso for holds and balls. It sounds worse than it is
