Default Relic EXP, a way to encourage players to occasionally mix up their quest choices.

So basically my idea is this.
Every time you TR your character, every quest that you didn't do during that life gains a "Relic Bonus" to the amount of EXP it provides.
If you still don't do it on your next run, then the bonus is granted again, until it stacks up to some cap.
+15% each time stacking up to 150% maybe?

All stacks would be lost on completion, obviously.

This would encourage people to mix things up a little, and occasionally step out of their maximumly efficant speed run paths to play a piece of content that they haven't touched in a while.
It would also make buying new old questpacks more tempting, because they would have accumulated massive relic bonuses while you ignored them.

    Thoughts?

Too difficult to implement and track, plus it would further fracture the player base. We already have a massive split between regulars, elite streaks, reaper, etc; adding in "relics" would just be one more way to isolate different groups.

Players run quests for three reasons:
    *Rewards
    *XP
    *Fun

A quest that doesn't get run is being skipped because it doesn't meet any of those criteria. I'm sure the devs have data on how often specific quests are completed; it'd be a simple matter to mine that, find out which quests aren't being run at all, and then improve any one of those three things until it becomes attractive again.

So far, the addition of first-time completion bonuses already breathed new life into a lot of old quests. Now we just need them to look at the ones that still aren't worth running and figure out what they need.

more like opposite, lvl running the same quests (like rushers do) and then at "cap" stacking, run diversity

i think the effect would be the opposte, like if i care lol, i think getting 3k favor per life is inevitable
psykopeta is finally baconpletionist because there isn't anything to delay it more - thelanis, where the gimps claim to be pros and noobs claim to be pros, no newbies allowed(unless they claim to be pros), we have enough drama w/o them. PS: I post only in the latest thread shown in main page, in the weird case u want something from me, feel free to send pm

The thing is many of the quests that people run consistently for xp/min is because they have mastered it and are not looking for anything more then to maintain there xp/min.

There are many incentives that could be introduced to encourage running different quests. In fact SSG recently did this by updating the favor rewards. This type of incentive does not take away from other quests.

I think the thing that makes the most popular "xp/min" quests that is that they provide a large amount of "optional" XP along the way. Looking at The Jungle of Khyber(von3), Wizard King, Two Toed Tobias, and Spies in the House specifically. If you already have an XP potion running and keep your voice on, you at least *feel* like you are getting more value for your time than on quests which only grant XP upon completion.
