Default Ability to Pause Experience, Loot and Slayer Buffs

Pretty much what topic says. It would be nice to have the ability to pause these (so they don't tick down and they don't function while paused).

    Experience Buffs from Pots
    Loot Buffs
    Slayers

Pipedream probably because it would take a lot of code but may as well through it out there.

This seems "too good" if you could do it in the middle of a quest, but being able to turn those off/on in a public area would be nice.
No one in the world ever gets what they want

They already don't tick down in public areas.

Haven't checked recently, but used to be you could 'pause' a major slayer count booster by drinking a minor one.

Personally I would much rather see the whole XP potion concept re-tooled. By giving you a timed bonus the game encourages only XP-per-minute fast completion game-play, and that's not healthy. A better system would be a percentage by XP-earned; E.G. "for the next 100,000 XP you earn, you get a 30% bonus) so that 100k turns into 130. Doesn't matter how long it takes you to earn it.

Something where you could only pause it in public areas...I don't know. Never going to happen regardless but it would be nice.

As systemshaker1941 mentioned; these buffs and ship buffs do pause already in public areas.

Even the ability to pause them while in public areas would be a bit TOO useful.
Some quest chains are worth their while in XP but hide a gem among them that's worth a lot more at its level than it should (Fire Caves, Through a Mirror...)

Sure, you could just drink your potion at the end of such quests (and let it tick down for the beginning of the next chain), but it'd still be a lot to think about.

This is actually pretty good idea.
Especially since current way XP pots work encourages XP/min runs.

(and we saw what devs think of some quests that gave nice XP/min runs)
