This is incompetence to the nth degree. They expect their customers, people who pay for the experience to play to suffer outages because they cannot properly test or anticipate downtime. This game still has bugs from 13 years ago - e.g. ladder bug. When they introduce a bug they penalize the players, last years kill those that exploited. They cannot keep the servers operational and still have memory leaks. The morons keep saying give them a break. I run an IT organization, if I provided customer service like this my clients would seek new providers. That said we pay to play not pay to wait. Either post proper downtime notices etc. so people can plan the day or do proper quality management by testing on a duplicate test environment. The incompetence if obvious.

itll be out when its out. im just as anxious to get on again as you guys, but at this point its better to just sit back. relax. fire up youtube/twitch and just wait.

restarting servers takes a bit longer than just pressing a "on" button. they need to make sure that the all the correct files get into the correct locations on the server, that the server itself fires up correctly and that it registers the changes.

and the games ancient so it likely has a **** ton of spaghetti code lying about.

so honestly: relax. if it honestly takes too long theyll give us free stuff anyways so its a win win.

EDIT: also to those complaining that it isnt up now because they paid for it. i ask you: why would you pay for a free to play game, and then expect the developers to jump at the snap of your fingers. YES. i agree they need to get it done as soon as they can, but give them time, its likely something happened they werent expecting (including possibly a power outage).

EDIT 2: and apparently its up =D. now ill wait for an hour more so login traffic dies down and i as a premium-free user can sit back and actually get on in the first place =p.
